I just bought my friend this game for the Mac and we cannot play online together (I have a PC).

Is it just my imagination or did this game promise cross-platform support???
Even steam seems to think it does. It does not say anywhere that it can't be done.

I don't know how hard it is to make them compatible but I really think it should be done.
I know this community is a bit dried up, but I want to play with my friend, maybe this is why nobody plays the game online...

Any help on maybe cheating the system to think one computer can connect would also be helpful.

Though I can't find any confirmation on this subject from either a dev or support, I am pretty sure it is not cross-platfrom compatible.
Very stupid of course, but it's not the first time they disappointed the RUSE community.

hint: Your friend shouldn't use a mac to play games in the first place.

Out of all the threads I've gone through trying to find an official answer to this, the one I find is a single sentence riddled with grammatical errors. Seems pretty unprofessional, Ubisoft.

Are you serious??? How much effort could it be to realise cross platform support for mac & pc?!
Maybe UBISOFT should invest more ressources for services like this instead of their drm-crap which no one asked for!!!
