BTW reddragonhrcro RE6 is affected by COD, it is an evolution to RE series just like SCC, but at the same time check what the hardcore fans are saying about it, it still have explosions, big guns, less puzzles, melee, Chris and Leon, Anti-Terrorism, .....................etc, they don't like any of that, they want to be isolated, few ammo, navigation, and puzzles, I would love one too, but I don't think Capcom would do it, they already said RE:R is as much as we can get, and still those fans felt like RE:R was like RE4, not a true RE game or something, even Dead Space series, the start was strong, DS2 was very good, but it lacked something the 1st had, but I can't get my hands on it, and now DS3, Did you read IGN's rumor about DS3 ?!, it is going to be something like RE5 (which I loved due to Chris) and horror fans will end up hating DS3, but it will be a big success like RE5 was.
Actualy not,the producer(that was mentioning this about CoD) said that RE6 won´t be affected by this as its out of his hand, eventualy RE6 went down the path following RE4,this time they try aswell something new in order to try to make a good horror game.Eventualy the game will have 3 gameplay-styles.I know what you mean but the game needed to evolve at some point.(and it didn´t have anything to do with CoD).

Yes i heard the rumours about DS3.

I eventualy want to work for Capcom on the series(as soon as i m done with all the needed education for it).I m a great fan of the series and eventualy as a "real" fan i like the games how they are now gameplay-wise(tought RE5 was a fail as a horror game")but as a fan i like the thrill that the old games have.Eventualy i have about 10 realy good ideas that would please the hardcore fans and the "real" fans. From those 4 are REmakes(0,1,2 and 3 for current gen or next-gen,don´t worry not a remake in sense to turn em in RE4 style but as the REmake games on gamecube and Wii but with the usage of the potential that the consoles offer.),RE Outbreak File 3#(once again as the last 2 with classic cam. but far more flexible gameplay and controls along loads of new features),...
Eventualy as such i would do things to please the fanbase and have reasonable offers(DLCs).RE5 didn´t have any aditional story mini-game but eventualy it later 2 were introduced as DLCs and later on came in the Gold Edition. As such ORC is the same but its developed by an American company which not only falied at creating a awesome game but failed at an extended deadline. And eventualy offered a side story as DLC.I have a idea for a great RE game(no details) and have in mind atleast 2 mini-stories to include in it.I m not greedy for money as nowdays most producers are but eventualy i want to deliver something and that something with all of it include that was originaly planed for it.If a DLC comes for it then it will be something that wasn´t originaly planed but eventualy matches the game.

ORC is a great example of how RE is going to CoD way, RE6 is still going to focus alot on action, but anyway what you got is good and all, but if you don't focus on casual sadly you will be removed from any position, Companies care about money first.

Good some feel passionate enough to still have the desire to work with games. I once dreamed about it, but seeing how the market has changed I have no desire to participate in the world that is so full of controvery and oppression, just for entertainment. Many game developers have stated how exhausting work in the industry is these days, with heavy pressure from sale expectancy to artistic restrictions.

If ORC is any indication of future RE and Capcom in general I expect the estimates of its bankruptcy will be fulfilled very soon. Atleast by looking at internet the boycott ring is getting bigger after every release.

Well ORC is afterall a western game made by Slaint Six to attract CoD fans, pretty much most people that bought it have sold it soon after(not my case).I eventualy will do all thats requested from me in making games and being a producer(afterall these ideas are my) and will eventualy do my best in offering things that will please both the fanbase and the company, actualy Capcom has pretty much a realy friendly community, will eventualy try to get once on one of their Christmas parties or something(yes anyone that is a fan can come to these parties). Its sad but true the fact that its all about getting as much money out of something.

In my view its wrong eventought that if they done things correctly they still could earn lots of money and please the fans, its pretty much the way how some things need to be offered or presented.First of disc-locked DLC content is something that makes players eventualy feel bad towards the company,Capcom said on a interview lately that they are reconsidering on the use of disc-locked content in order to see how things are standing with this with the playerbase.I would aprove the use of such type of content if it was for exclusive ones or for unfinished content that didn´t make it in the game but eventualy gets finished in a DLC.As for my view if a game is given with enough additional content the fans will be pleased and happy, every additional DLC is something totaly new tied to the game which is considered as something that the fans want to expirience in the game and have more fun with it.(Pretty much RE5 was on on a good example but the only additional content was Mercenaries mini-game which is not quite enough compare to RE4).Eventualy DLCs need to feel like something exciting but not rather an rip-off for the fans,if the fans are pleased and happy they eventualy will invest in these games more.Pretty much unless companies understand this they will always recive negative feedbacks about DLCs.

Pretty much i belive in Capcom to make things right if they done something wrong.Eventualy they have lots of giveaways here and then.On my first giveaway i requested for the RE4 Special Edition bonus DVD but instead got 3x RE4 SE bonus DVDs,3x DarkVoid shirts,3x Capcom mousepads and a limited edition DarkVoid Statue that glows. LOL

Second giveaway i got a S.T.A.R.S. baseball cap

Third giveaway i got a code to download Dead Rising 2: Off the Record for PC

Fourth giveaway i got a quite pricey USS(Umbrella Security Service) hoodie.(which is a size larg but still can wear)

Still about the Tom Clancy crossover series: These online season play style games with teams competing for a period of time are getting hot right now. Would also be pretty fun if the crossover series had something like that. Pick team A or team B and in each game the success of each team affects the overall score.

If HAWX team A leads the other team, it also means team A in GRAW gets a small advantage. If Splinter Cell team A manages to win the merc team B, R6 team A gets a small advantage.

Games like GTA and Saints Row don't interest me, because the "mature content" in games like that seems so immature. I think that's what you were saying, too. Like a little kid going, "oh my god, boobs!". Who really cares?

    -----------------------

Your idea about merging platforms and game-mode-type-things, to create linked experiences is really interesting.

This is my shot at it:

So you have your main game. Within the main game, there are a series of intel files, scattered throughout the maps, and across the missions. On computers, in filing cabinets, etc. These are "extra" files, and may or may not directly relate into the main story. Think "glyphs", from Assassins Creed. They were cool, and interesting all within themselves.

To push the limits of this idea, put out a game on iPhone/Android. Let us link the intel files we found in game, to our phones. Then on those long car rides, or coffee breaks at work, we can play a puzzle-based Splinter Cell game, and work to decipher the intel files we found. Think about a decipher the e-mail, type of puzzle.

    - So say you picked an intel file off a computer, in mission 1, on your XBox360. A few days later, on your iPhone, you "decipher the intel file", and it gives you the location of "special equipment", in mission 5. Which turns out to be a little avatar item.
    - You find an encrypted data file in mission 3. The next day, on your lunch break, you "decipher it" and it gives you a password for a computer in mission 2. Which is a piece of concept art.

I'm talking about rich, intellectual puzzles. Puzzles we can sit down with a morning coffee and punch out. Also, fun and interesting rewards.

The possibilities are endless. Be the spy, and the data analyst. Thoughts?

I hate tie-ins. When I buy a game for Xbox I expect to get the complete package and not have some parts locked away in Facebook or handheld games. Heck, I even hate that Halo, Gears of War, Mass Effect and a multitude of other games have started to rely on books so heavily. I bought a couple of the first Halo books and hated it "The game rocks, but this sucks". So now that Halo developers for example are saying they want to expand the universe with more tie-ins to the books I'm getting very concerned whether I will get into the game at all. Some comment on Metacritic about Gears of War 3 nailed it: "It felt like I was playing GoW4", there was so much "What? Who's that? What are you talking about?" going on.

Sure "a little avatar item" is small compared to entire plot points, but "if you give it a finger..."

"Locked away" is the wrong way to say it. Either way, this is the sort of RISK a developer needs to take. Stop trying to give us the same sort of gaming experience, and extend it to something we haven't had before. I bet there would be a lot of people who might enjoy something like this, if they are real fans of the series. For the same reason I have read all the books, and the same reason I'm here on the forum - I love Splinter Cell.

Look at Battlelog, for BF3. That's different, and to my knowledge, hasn't been done before. They took a FPS and extended it to handheld devices and desktops. I drew some inspiration for the SC idea, from that, to be honest.
