    HNGD: Finally!

I picked up this Gibson Les Paul Studio 50's Tribute about 2 weeks ago and I couldn't be happier. I purchased my 1st guitar back in February when I bought Rocksmith, an Epiphone L-100 Les Paul. I really didn't want to spend much money since I really wasn't sure about Rocksmith or my ability to play guitar. My parents bought me a cheap guitar and amp when I was 12 in 1985 well before the internet and Rocksmith and since I couldn't play like KK Downing or MIck Mars within 15 minutes of picking up the guitar, I gave up. God how I wish there was the internet and Rocksmith in 1985!

So I got my Epi and Rocksmith and after a few months I realized that playing guitar was going to be a lifelong hobby for me. So when I saw that Sweetwater was offering 0% financing for 18 months on Gibson products I knew it was time to pull the trigger. I've wanted a Gibson Les Paul since the first time I saw the Welcome To The Jungle video and Slash was playing that gorgeous Les Paul, which I found out many years later wasn't even a legit Gibson lol, but that's a story for another time. I became a Zeppelin fan a few years later and always dreamed of owning and playing a Gibson Les Paul. So now I do, many, many years later.

As for the guitar itself, I love it. I love the neck, love the satin finish especially on the neck and I love the way it sounds and plays. I look forward to playing every night, both with Rocksmith and with my amp. Now, I want a Standard....and maybe a Custom lol. Owning this guitar has just made me covet more guitars.

You're one up on me; I only deduced the NG. Anyway, TTFN.

Great Guitar man, Sadly I do not yet own a Gibson Les Paul myself, been a.. Gotta be honest, played guitar for a year now, pretty much on to the date, so yeah. Been a year long dream of mine to get a Gibson Les Paul myself
However I will be getting Tax Refund sometime this summer, and I've set my eye on a beautiful Gibson Les Paul Traditional in a Satin Honeyburst finish with a 60s style slim neck and couple uncovered Classic 57 pickups. (Yes, I can read the brochure)

Regardless, enjoy your axe man, it looks stunning, sounds stunning, And yes, I am very jelous.

Any time I see HNGD I read it as a sound that you would make if you saw a guitar and really wanted it but couldn't have it. lol
