How do you, or what must you do first, to get the captain to climb the **** ladder out of the main control room?

I don't play SH5 but somewhere on here I read you have to almost run the captain into the ladder to get him to climb up the ladder.

You might want to look at the Quick Start Guide for other information to.

There maybe someone else that reads your post that has a better answer.

running at the ladder did not work. I am not sure what else there is to try? I have tried several things including:
left and right mouse while using direction keys
clicking on the upper levels
Not sure what else to do?????

The ladders suck! There are mods over at subsim that help, but I don't know how to install those things.When you try to go up, be careful, you can only go up the one side of the ladder, also tilt the camera up as you approach the ladder. If all else fails shift-U will take you to the bridge if you're surfaced, but you must use the ladder to get back down. It took me a bit to figure this and I still have trouble, but maybe these tips will help. Good luck.

To climb up the ladder, look straight at the ladder and then move forward. If done correctly, the view will adjust upward automatically. Before accessing the ladder, looking straight up or at an angle may prevent you from triggering the climb event.
