Install Settlers 7 on Mac | Forums

Hi everyone, i bought Settlers 7 just today and intend to instal the game on my MacBook Pro ( Mac OS X 10.7.4),

however after inserting the disk nothing happens. When I try to open the DVD/Folders I only find .exe files etc. , however no .dmg with which I could start the installation process.

Does anyone have an idea how to get the game started? Oh. . of coure according to the disk it is a PC Mac DVD.. .hence should work.

It should mount the disc and allow you to install, since I also installed it on my mac as well as my PC.

I am running 10.7.4 and it does auto launch -






I can only suggest you contact the retailer - and see if they will exchange the disc for you - failing that you can contact Ubisoft Support, however I have a feeling it maybe the Disc at fault, assuming you have not installed anything which blocks the installer.

Since my eMail inquiry is yet to receive an answer from UbiSoft, I did call up their hotline. It appears that they have issues with certain mac versions, and they informed me that I have to get a new, special mac dvd from them. They will deliver it next week ( . . which is bad, since the weekend was supposed to be my Settlers weekend..). . unfortunately they can not give me a download link even though the game is available on e.g. Amazon as a download. Bit disappointing. . hope the game is worth the hassle!

Just sorry it's due to the media, and you have to wait.

You could ask the retailer, if they are aware of issues, they may offer a refund, and you can use it to buy the digital version?

however that also will take some time so it maybe best to wait for Ubisoft Support.

Would you happen to know whether or not there is at least a link, at which one can download the digital version without buying an additional key? The key I obviously have, hence not trying to do something illegal. . just trying to install that game and using the key i paid for. .

No I'm sorry, all download links are linked to purchases.
