Strange graphics problems running LOMAC on Windows 7.
Hey all,
I am trying to get LOMAC to run on my new computer. It will run great but I noticed (and after some troubleshooting) that when I have the visible range set to medium or higher in the settings menu that I get strange looking vehicles with parts that should be hidden or conceled. In fact when I look out over my wings in the A-10 I can see the entire pylons and spoilerons through the wings surface.
If I reduce the visiblility range set to anything under medium, then the problem goes away.
I also updated to 1.02 with no change.
My computer is very current.
Specs are:
Gateway
Intel i5 2320
Intel HD 2000 graphics(onboard i5 chip)
8 gigs ram
1 tera hdd
directx 11
Any ideas on this?

Hello tomcatguy74
Sometimes this issue can occur because video drivers are out of date. First make sure that the your drivers are fully updated.
Also newer video cards may have some compatibility issues and will not properly utilize the software. You can try setting the video card's settings to application controlled. Also disabling anti aliasing and anisotropic filtering may help with compatibility.
Keep in mind that the with the age of the software there may not be a way of getting it to work with newer systems.

Hi Pennygod, Thanks for replying to my thread.
I looked on Lock-on Modern Air Combat's menus and there is no setting for antialasing or anostropic filtering. Drivers are up to date as well.
I wanto to put a graphics card in the computer but to do that i must change the power supply. I am afraid of voiding the warranty if something fails after i do that down the road.
Any Ideas?

Hey tomcatguy74
When referring to changing the video settings you will need to go into the video cards settings on the system itself and not in the game settings. You should be able to find instructions on how to do this by going to the video card manufacturer's website and locate their support FAQ page or you can contact them directly for instructions.
Keep in mind that the video card you already have is way beyond what the game was originally supported on. Basically the game is a very old title and may not run on the newer video cards so purchasing a new video card may or may not help the issue.

I am not sure if this means anything but I don't have a discrete video card in the computer yet. The graphics system is the Intel HD 2000 that is integrated into the CPU.

There may be issues with running the game on that video card. Unfortunately we do not have any documentation with information if that video card may work or not.

Lockon has always been a problem on PC's with an integrated graphics chip since it first came out in Winter 2003.
IIf you can get it to run with low graphics settings on current day integrated graphics count yourself quite lucky! Back in the day, even that was rare. It really needs a dedicated graphics card to run it. But you can still have fun with low settings.
Certainly you need it patched up to v1.02 as you say you have done, that fixes a lot of other stuff and it should be more stable.
Take my tours around the map to see all the sights. Saves you spending months finding them all yourself by accident!
