In most games (balanced games at least) all the weapons have different strengths and weaknesses that players use to choose what works best for them (long or short range, rate of fire, damage vs. maneuverability, etc...). If there are guns in the game that are just plain "better" than others, there ends up being a lack of balance.
Are these just overpowered guns? Are there other factors about these special weapons that balance them out (lack of accuracy, short clip and slow reload time, etc...)?
I apologize if this has already been answered. I have been away for a while and I couldn't find anything searching the forum.
PS - Please don't flame. I know there are other factors that go into how balanced game is, but this is one of those issues that always bothers me. I don't complain about being out-played by people who are just better than me (I'm no MLG player), but I hate getting slaughtered by a team just because they have better equipment. It's just no fun.
