Ok my rocksmith game would not go past the loading saved data at the start. I finally got it to after unistalling/reinstalling game patchs.....
I get into the game and I want to play a couple songs instead of doing the event. I goto song menus. Start scrolling through songs and than I am in the amp mode... get back to the song menu and go to scroll and I am in amp mode again. It keeps flipping through to menu... amp... options... by the time I was actually able to play a song I was too frustrated to play worth a dang, I finally just had to quite the game altogether I was too frustrated to do anything.
Has anyone had any issues like this any ideas how to fix.

Wow that's the strangest thing I've ever heard of in a game... usually when I hear stories like this I recommend people start by clearing their memory cache, on Xbox at least. Go to settings, storage, then I think you push Y or something to clear the cache. Or check if the disk itself is dirty. Good luck!

Some of what you said sounds like the controller is freaking out, like when your computer is opening random windows and making selections because the keyboard or mouse is jacked. Try a different controller maybe or a different game to see if it behaves correctly? (assuming you didn't do that already)

every now and again (on the PS3) I will click right arrow and it will jump two menu items right instead of 1 item. Maybe it's me, maybe it's a Portuguese* !!!

* As my aunt once said when she meant Poltergeist lol.
