To be fair, that first point is subjective (I *like* the changes. That doesn't mean they were correct or good, but neither does it mean they were "wrong" because any number of fans didn't like them) and the second point is slightly misplaced. They didn't remove town screens, per-se. I've looked at some modifications people have done and they actually found links to in-development town screens that were scrapped when ubi decided to release the game before it was finished. It would be more appropriate to say that Ubisoft didn't care enough to see the game finished (which, in my opinion is far worse than a bad design choice, as it shows that greed and ignorance run things rather than simply misguided design). That's why you see references to other factions and such. They were originally to be included in the game.

That being said, it would be nice to see arachne and other dynasty weapons fixed. Other than that though, I do think the bug list is slowly decreasing, which is nice. My question is can we now play custom maps online? Because that would make the map editor a priority, and the notes seem to indicate "download map in lobby". I currently can't connect my game online, so has someone tried to play multiplayer custom map? That may give mapmakers much more incentive.

This patch could mean more maps created and thus give more life to the game. A basic good.

Next patch brings much needed balance. Also a basic good.

It appears our new developers are getting right to it.

So, when is that expansion announcement?

Good news! Seems that they are going back on track slowly but steadily.

P.S. Still baffled that people continue to ask or whine after every patch release about everything and anything. They just got a new dev team, they are releasing patches steadily and they are communicating a lot more than before. And then here come the usual "Where are the town screens?" guy {when they have already told us that they will work on it and frankly I don't think that this is a priority right now}, the not so usual "I want SIM turns" guy {who is actually right to ask about it but this is mainly a SINGLE PLAYER GAME and I think that they should fix that part first} and the impossible "All these changes are a 1-line change in the code and they are minor" guy who doesn't even make sense!
A 1-line change to the code doesn't mean that it will make the game immediately balanced. It still needs a little thing called playtesting and this requires a LOT of time to do right. Thus this 1-line of code change is not such an easy task.

yes the dynasty weapons! they need tweaking and balancing or even that you can RESET PROGRESS! it's nice to see some things balanced but it needs a little more work i think. and random map generator wll be good, it can keep you busy!

I'm curious, as multiplayer has started working for me, leading me to think that ubi fixed something on their servers (it did not work before patch 1.3, except in beta. Now it runs fine whenever I try it). What exactly do you mean "fix" multiplayer? Does it still timeout after an hour or so with no hope of rejoin? More importantly, can we now use custom maps in multiplayer games? i would really like an answer to that last question.

Finally the game gets patched in less than a month before the last patch and we also get to see a preview of the next patch and what people do is complain. Say thank you that the game is starting to move again. And not complain about what is not being done. Gradually this game is becoming what we were hoping it would be like when it was conceived. Keep on the good work

It’s OK that the new team learns the code and progress is very slow at the beginning but there seems to be a step backwords compared to patch 1.3. These are the two first patches without any bugfixes included and 1.3 has been more substantial anyway then these two, which makes me wonder whether something unexpected has happened again…

Still don't understand why they are lying that the patching will start automatically... Had to start gu.exe manually file to download the patch
