    Telescope goes blank in Todelmer

When I tried to look through the telescope in Todelmer, the telescope will go completely grey at some point, and will not work.
I scouted the internet an found two people on the internet with the same problem and they gave up.
Not in any walkthrough is there a mention of this being part of the puzzle, is this a bug?

Also, the final gate to the final world will not open, despite the three slates being in place.
I would like to play the final part of the game please!

    Question Country? Computer?

Is this a U.S. release of Myst V: End of Ages, or European, or what? Also, what is your computer's graphics card?

It is possible you have hit a bug like a corrupted installation or a dirty dvd (if you are using one), Like wstrohm said you might need to update the driver for your graphic card.

    Extra infos:
You need to find 4 main slates (Keep slates) from 4 ages to get the Golden slate not 3 !

You begin by solving puzzles in the descent/great shaft and you go on to your quest in K'veer. Then, you have to get 4 main slates in 4 ages.

    Those 4 ages are:
    1) Taghira the ice age
    2) Todelmer the age with a big blue planet
    3) Noloben the age where Esher has his lab. You have to go through cavern(s) to get inside
    4) Laki'ahn the age with the windmill, pyramid and arena.

It would help if you'd tell us what scope you are talking about. It is possibel that a wrong amplification is used and the view is blocked or it is possible that you are talking about a defective scope in a room half way up.

The biggest problem is that all the people do not solve all ages in same order so you need to be very specific to describe your problem(s) if any.

I had the same problem after i upgraded my graphics card. i tried changing all the in-game graphics settings like resolution etc, but it didn't work so i had to re-install my old graphics card in order to continue playing. strange, as everything else in the game was fine with the new card.
