YES, I think it was fine the way it was !
NO, They need to make money some how!
Pre-0.6.0, loot was far too common. I had too many armor inserts than I could use. I agree with the decision to hold back on the loot crates; however, I think they've gone too far. What's more, the loot we do receive is no longer useful to most of us. I would much rather previously-common grenades than previously-rare scopes and sights. I opened three crates in 0.6.0, and I received a 4x SUSAT, a 1x Open Reflex, and a USP 45 (or whatever the level 1 pistol is). I hate the SUSAT, the pistol was a downgrade from what I already had, and I had no gun which to put the Open Reflex on. If loot is going to be as rare as it is in 0.6.0, you have to give us useful stuff.
As far as RP goes, I don't believe they touch the rate at which you get RP per match. But having those extra items that you don't want and you are able to sell for RP does make a little bit of a dent in the rate at which you can accumulate RP.

Wow I never had enuff loot here .because as soon as my plates wore out i would put any inserts that i had back in to my armor and if i did have a few more i could sell them for the little RP they would give me to try and save up for my next weapon so it gave me the sence of wining something out of the game ,witch i love to feel like im getting something for doing something !
One way to live One way to die.
I never had an issue with armor inserts, by the time I ran one set of 3 plates down, I could easily have 5 to take their place. I actually started using my unsellable mkI armors (and the other classes I wasn't playing) to store inserts, since the entire left column of my inventory was full of gold inserts. With 26 inventory slots, that's 13 gold inserts, +6 in mkI armor(s).
I also think the class-specific dailies for loot should offer class specific gear, or a chance at it. If I can find a susat, or a phantom in a rare box, why not a 3x9 sniper scope?

The loot is right wheres it probably going to be when they go live they want you to spend money on stuff. You still get a full set of plates when you level rank and the amount of plates we had before was ridiculous.
Most of the time loot was random stuff i sold back anyway. I'd sooner see a boost in rp earned in matches and less loot so you can buy what you want. Whats the point of getting loot when majority is random and sold back. I would like to see earning random guns to use for a set period of time then the small loot stuff. You would get to try new weapons without spending rp and or money on a weapon you might not like.
Loot should go back to the way it was.....period. If you barely play...it's good...and if you play alot, it allows you more RP from selling. To be honest, it was not even enough to make me happy. I was able to get 2 guys over lvl 20 but I never have nades and I pay alot to have armor inserts. Switching classes alot is what eats up armor slots. When you get the big vests, each vest takes up 4 slots...I never even bought the final beta vest so if it's got 5 slots...then that's even more to use up.
If you are getting alot of kills, MVP alot...then you should be rewarded for such but it appears that doesn't matter what-so-ever. In any Free to play game....where you have to earn rewards or pay for them...I'd rather earn them by playing good and learning the maps. I know some people will be dumping alot of money into playing but not everyone's going to be able to afford it.
It seems as if the loot as it has been altered favors you using 1 class specifically, which sucks. I've grown to like them all actually but if you want to be a decent player, you can't just jump into the class and be good. You must play and get up your critical hits. No amount of money besides the faster leveling option will help your gun lvl so even the people planning on spending uber amounts are going to be that much better.
I have over 60 nades and about 14 Gold Armor inserts saved. I prefer it this way. Less OP faceroll armor build-ups with 180 HP trashing new players. If I'm having a bad day or feel especially evil, then I'll pop in 4x Gold and equip my nades, but otherwise, I casual-play with stock gear.
Well...the large impact nades have been bugged for me since day 1 so I always had to sell them.
I might understand the reason of droping the loot rate (Make money). But, dropping the loot rate so much just might help drive away players that are on the fence about playing this game. if devs do want to lower it, they need to lower it but at the same time make it less random and more based on in-game performance.
I think they said something about not being in game performance based because all the top players would have all the best gear while low performance players would get little to nothing.
I don't know if i really like this whole reward/weapons/loot model. The weapons and stuff are really high priced in this system so if you spend real money or even rp you better be in love with something. In a system where everything is time based the weapons are much cheaper and if you get bored or want to try something different you can. Also other games have random cases you can buy instead of win.
