    Acr/mp,dgl-4500

So I'm playing AC-Revalations MP on the PS3. I have also successfully gotten my mom to get addicted, . While we have been playing we notice some lag, and fualty designs. An example that i keep repeativly using is twice we were running towards someone, mashing the hell out of square, only to have them still stun us. We were perplexed to say the least. Another good example that i see repeativly is that if were standing next to a charecter and we get there contract they stun us, b4 we even knew we had there contract(IE we get stunded as the portrate appears, then disapears saying we lost the contract), or they get our contract and kill us b4 we get a red arrow letting us know that someones out for our blood. After many brainstorming sessions, and many headachs we finally came under the belief that we needed a faster internet connection, or through some research of my own, at leat, aa more steady internet speed(consistancy). We upgraded our internet to the fastest availible in our area, and even bought a better power supply(surge protector), some cat7 e cables, and a new DGL-4500 router. We have seen some noticable difference, but not by much, and not all the time.
My main question is if there is a better way(and how so) to set up my router so that we achive better performance?
As an asside, we have also thought about getting a booster from hawkings technology, would that be wise? Also some more information, our router and modem are both set up next to the playstation, and so far everything is wired with the cat7e's. I can also provide more information if requested. P.S. I'm not a tech guru, but i do consider myself a tech junkie(though i may be wrong), just if i dont understand something bare with me while I explain that i dont understand it.
