    Opinion on the melee changes.

In 0.6.0 they changed the melee damages a lot. It now takes 3-4 hits to kill someone regardless of where you hit them. Please vote in the poll and make your opinion on this known!

Personally, I'd like to see two hit melee kills everywhere except the back. Melee hits to the back should be one hit kills, but they should perform various "execution" animations similar to Battlefield 3/Halo 3 (and newer). Take a look at the Assassins Creed games for execution animation ideas, they can range from simple unarmed attacks to things that involve knives or surrounding environmental objects.

The one I just added. vBulletin is dumb and posts the thread before it allows you to finish adding the poll.

While animations like that would be nice, there isn't any time. Sometimes you run up behind like 3 guys, melee one and shoot the other two. What would happen during this seemingly intricate execution? I'd rather just bap and frag!

The person performing the execution is vulnerable to counter-kill during that time by an ally to the victim. That balances the one-hit-kill from behind. You would have to hold down the melee button to perform an execution, with the option to just melee twice for a kill that would likely take the same amount of time but let you continue to defend yourself.

It's kind of a death sentence to try and melee anyone anymore.

Still getting 120 hit melees, but it seems the lower-damage hitboxes were made bigger so that a melee has to be center-back or head-center. For a game that has a Melee Award for killing 3 people in one go, it sure doesn't feel melee-friendly.

No to executions. I prefer just running around waving my arms like I'm having a seizure and looking cool doing it.

The arm hitboxes seem to be enormous now, however. Arm hitboxes really shouldn't be that big. I think an acceptable compromise would be add semi-torso hitboxes that do 60-some, but the arm hitboxes right now reduce everything to 20.

That being said, I am still barely able to get 2-shot melees on fresh players, and one-shotting level 1 Recons.

I think melees stupid anyway a game that wants to be a simulation shooter should at least give you a knife. Yea knives are in every game but how many people in reality will you kill with a punch or even multiple punches wearing helmets its lulzy. For me its usually takes multiple hits in melee to kill someone and usually isnt worth the time or effort.

I think if you get enough time to target the head, it should be a 1 hit kill with melee. It takes a lot of work to get close enough to melee anyone in this game, and to get there without them realizing it, is even harder. So I think getting hit in the back of the skull with the **** of a rifle is justified in being a 1 hit kill. Melee to all other portions of the body should do at least 33% of maximum health as damage, And may be better balanced to deal at least 50 damage and not be mitigated by armor (so that it is more 'fun' to use). Further, all cloaked melee's should 1 hit kill, or at least guarantee a crit, if people are going to use their ability and get that close, I have no problem with cloak getting a bit of a bonus.

The hit box for it still seems far too easy to miss. I can be standing face to face with an enemy and miss somehow... I can't get any closer to him, so what can I do. You want to stop run and gun, make melee stronger so when I punch the **** of my gun through some guy's teeth, he remembers it, and becomes more cautious the next time... not this 4 swings, 3 misses stuff we have going on now, which allows the target to recognize someone is behind him, understand that they have swung a gun at his head at least twice, and laugh out loud whilst rolling on the floor before turning around and shooting you to death while you miss your 3rd swing on what WAS a ripe, unsuspecting target only a moment ago. Or worse if the target is prone and you're not...

Melee is hard to get into position for and difficult to use effectively, it should not tickle.

If you're worried about some 8v8 seal clubbing festivals, I wouldn't think they would be that prevalent since you know... you can see people coming and shoot them.

    TLDR:
Melee is hard to use, it should hit hard.
Effective melee ability could slow the pace of the game without applying artificial caps like walking reload - People would be a lot less likely to run around corners and the like if they knew a potential face caving lurked around each corner.
    Melee should be buffed.

I think headshots with snipers should be a OHK. The one hit melee should come back.
