Servers unavailable
Okay, so I buy a copy of HOMM6 - wait hours for it to download - spend 30 mins downloading and installing updates for the game - FINALLY!!!!
Login: Ubisoft servers are unavailable at the moment. Please try again later.
Okay, offline mode then? "You have to login at least once to play offline"
Fine, google search why the servers are down and I get endless articles about server issues since Feb... have they been up at all in this time... no idea.
MMOs can manage authentication servers that stay up almost indefinitely but ubisoft cannot even keep the server that allows me to verify and play offline up for even part of this year.
Remind me why I didn't pirate this game? Why would I buy another game from Ubi again?

Ubisoft Support Staff NCSA
Hello Mulkiath
To possibly resolve this issue, you may need to manually install the GameLauncher software, which handles the online authentication in the game. Please note that this software MUST be installed to play the game, and cannot be uninstalled or disabled.
First, you will need to uninstall the "Ubisoft Game Launcher" software from the 'Add/Remove Programs' (Windows XP) / 'Installed Programs' (Windows Vista and 7) icon in your computer's control panel. It's possible that the "Ubisoft Game Launcher" software will not be listed if you have already uninstalled it, or the game. If so, you can skip this step.
After uninstalling the software, you will need to manually delete any leftover files in the C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher (32-bit versions of Windows) or C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher (64-bit versions of Windows). Please do not skip this step, it is very important.
Once you have manually deleted the files left in that folder, you can reinstall the GameLauncher software from: http://static3.cdn.ubi.com/orbit/lau...rInstaller.exe and then you should be able to start the game.
If you continue to receive the connectivity error please make sure that you have the following ports open:
80, 13000, 13005, 13200-13999
(all TCP) if not using web proxy
If you are unsure of how ports work, the best course of action may be to contact your router manufacturer, system administrator or ISP for more information.
You can also try to bypass the router by plugging directly into the modem to see if the connection error persists.

Seriously.. Make the synchronizing work or lose custormers
I bought Might and Magic 1 month ago.. Ive been able to play it a few times but usually it wont last. the game freezes when it lose connection to uplay, and I get kicked.
Ive tried all the things mentioned in support (and from that i see that a huge number of ppl got the same problem with synchronizing/getting uplay to work probably).
Ive tried re-install uplay as suggested (http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php...=1#post8298369).. witch just reinstalled uplay and gave me the same result.. : Uplay cant connect to the server atm.. Ive tried redirect my router, I even tried reinstall both uplay, might and magic & steam.. with the same end result : Uplay wont connect.. Now Ive had it !!! .. Seriously Ive bought a product from u, that is a solo game as default. U decided it would be a good idea to make it an online game... A very very bad choice when your game server is not up for the task. More important I got a product that wont work.
Either I want my money back or you need to solve YOUR uplay problem asap. If not, your company will be announced as a real bad choice (Not to say that u are actually stealing ppls money; I know that u want this type of gaming to work, but it does not, so it seems pretty close to stealing).
A very sad customer and a long time lover of might and magic...
PS. : How do I get my money back??

Just applied this "fix" to solve my problem of not being able to play AC: Brotherhood, but all it did was make me unable to play ACII and Prince Of Persia. I have forwarded the ports 13000-13005 and 13200 -> 13999 port 80 is ofc open.

Seriously...again lol
Need to post this as well.. After reinstalling uplay, the uplay server still dont work .. but gave me an extra free feature.. : now it wants me to re type my cd key for might and magic..
Since it cant connect, the answer to that sollution, from uplay is : The uplay synchronizing is not able to connect please try again later.. TRY AGAIN LATER???? Why????? We all, including uplay support knows that this wont solve anything so pleas just correct the txt to. . : U cant connect, so u cant play this solo game!! Dont try to fool ppl by saying it just needs time to get fixed.. Seriously..
Only good thing is that Im able to play this offline now..Of cause I lost all my save games ..again.
Sorry to say but your service sux big time.. and I still want my money back. I dont know any country where u buy a product that aint working and then u just lost your money.. This customer will be having a meeting with the consumer ombudsman.

Seriously.. lol
Aye lulz.. I was too fast before... actually I cant play offline.. since Might and magic keeps asking me to redeem my cd-key, (already did that several times, but now it wont work)
U cant enter your cd key since Im not connected to the uplay...so no go at playing this at all ..
Luckily I got other games to play, but think this is being hilariously funny that uplay can`t even make it possible for gamers to play a solo game..
A big LOL at your service... I wouldnt have believed it possible to see this low customer service in 2012.
Hope u get it fixed at some time in the near future. Still got friends that are trying to play your games, so i will keep updated on what goes on with uplay.
Meeting with the consumer ombudsman monday
Have a nice sunday

Anno 2070
Bought this on steam yesterday. Finally managed to get it to the stage where it boots up uplay and asks me log in. Once logged in it says it can't synchonise my games and won't allow me to register my game. It says ubisoft servers unavailable. I can't even play on offline mode without registering first. Done everything the support people say. Uninstalled uplay and reinstalled. Still no joy. Congratulations on destroying your games with unnecessary DRM Ubisoft. This is the last ubisoft game I ever buy.
