Socom that was a cool game I played a little of it with a relative. Liked most of the maps . They were mostly large and well crafted for gameplay I'm nowhere near my console but I'm gonna check it out foe show .

Why cant you put weapons and vehicles... Or any of that stuff that dose not validate map... PLEASE REPLY TO THIS IF IM WRONG... THERE A WAY TO PLAY MAPS ONLINE WITH FRIENDS WITH WEAPONS AND VEHICLES.... REPLY TO ME ON HERE OR INBOX.. IF SO THEY MESSED UP ANOTHER FARCRY !


WHY WOULD YOU BE ABLE TO MAKE MAP WITH VEHICLES AND WEAPON AND THE OTHERS AND IT NOT WORK.. SOUNDS PRETTY DUMB!!! REFUND

I think is because little kids constantly make maps that are just a block in a tree and thats all.. Sad i was looking to make squad based maps and weapons too....
If not i will just get money back.. I was looking forward to having some nice maps.. I dont do play maps i make Game Type Based Maps... I make them like a MAP DESIGNER WOULD.

HI, for people that likes custom maps, I have been creating them since Unreal Tournament 2004, All Far Cry Series, and Halo Series. If anyone want to play "FAR CRY DESIGNER STYLE MAPS on the XBOX CONSOLE". Then send a message here or if you cant get a reply send the messages on XBOX 360.

Actually the no vehicles thing might be a good thing.

One problem a lot of maps had in far cry 2 was being simply tooo huge. This problem was solved by giving people cars to quickly get to the battle.
Only often the cars would get driven to the battle and then ditched. So they didn't even respawn.

Meaning you would have a long slog of a walk to get to the interesting bit of the map.

I will miss the well made maps that contained vehicles. and of course all of the race maps

Well that maybe, but people can do small maps with vehicles too... but steal the sample or ctf game type with the vehicle chases are mad fun.. So little sad.. and also no weapons able to put in the map now.. That's sad too because its always something you can pick up for a back up weapon.

Can someone help Ive just found the map editor after looking for ages because ya kno why put it somewhere for people to find when u can just hide it and make everything twice as hard, anyway every time i try to start it it just crashes am I doing something wrong? thanks

Yeah they will they need to give the licence back to cry tec guys . I mean these guys at ubisoft cant get frycry down they are lost a complete joke and waste of everyone money dont buy.Every Farcry i buy i think its going to be better then the last and truthfully it ends up sucking worst then the one before. Look at the map editor for crying out load what a misleading joke i would fire you all if i was president of Ubi Soft what the heck are you thinking . An 8 years old game on 360 farcry one had vehicles and zip lines you say big deal we as cunsumers say yeah a very big deal get your head out of your @$$. Pretty stupid let down i should of known not to buy there game it will never be what it use to be fun ,interesting, limitless. now where left with another crapy multi player game witch make map makeing pointless and **** did it look good why no cars you guys need to fix asap if you want your game to sell better its a big deal same with zip lines . Thanks poor exscuse for a company wow has UbiSoft been going down hill fast lately.

Yeah. This is for sure, frustrating. I'm also having a huge problem with the fact that I can't add animal AI either. IF they do enable these features into the game it would be great and much needed and I would ok with it being "PRIVATE matches" only, so that I could play the map with friends. I've dreamed of being able to put a tiger/snake pit in one of my maps.

I simply never played those types of maps again because there were plenty of maps with vehicles that were 'Freak'in Fun' and never felt boring or overly large. Heck, look at ALL the non-vehicle maps that were boring and did not promote Teamplay, what about those, lol. More Options = Better !

If the devs feel that vehicles disrupt 'Teamplay', why not have a category for Custom Maps with Vehicles? Then anyone that agrees with Thier OPPINION can simply avoid that category! If multiplay on custom maps aren't 'Ranked' matches, then why restrict or omit any items in the first place? They have Bronze, Silver, & Gold Map Archives... well heck then; an OPEN FORMAT can be Platinum then (lol, just an example) ! Then let the players decide what they wanna play on! Ubi... choose Creative Options over Censorship! Please
This game has already been shelved by my 50+ member clan that were HUGE fans and Long-time players of FarCry 2 (how sad is that?). We had Such GOOD Times with the custom maps too! I hope my 60$ ultimately goes towards what I thought I was purchasing. Your ticking off your best most loyal FarCry Fans Ubi !!!

Yeah I plan on making a few socom maps once I get far cry 3. Should be in the mail Monday or Tuesday.
