Weapon Hotkeys?
I've only recently started to play 'Assassin's Creed II', and one of the things I noticed is that it now has a "weapon-wheel".
Although this introduces new weapons, it seems like I'm forced to use it rather than switch weapons instantly.
Isn't there a way to create hotkeys to multiple weapons like the primary weapons which are also under keys?
Or is this again a side-effect from consoles? Just like the "mouse acceleration" is permanent, which I did manage to minimize at most, with a little trick.
And because of the addition of the weapon-wheel, it does seem like it's designed for a gamepad.
Of course a "wheel" allows for putting multiple functions under a single ****on or stick.
But if this were made for the PC, each weapon would've gotten its own key, or maybe 2 weapons per key.
I believe 'Dead Space' has that, although it might not have as many weapon-slots, but it's there.
But not, 'Assassin's Creed II' almost seems like a console-exclusive, with all its flaws:
Mouse and keyboard are "unsupported", it works, but "mouse acceleration" and a "weapon-wheel" are forced.
Sub-standard graphics and especially the performance is terrible.
I've been enjoying the gameplay and the design of the game, but technically, it's quite a hassle.
I hope "Brotherhood", "Revelations" and "III" aren't like this, or I'll be in for a long, cumbersome play-through.
Well, if "Brotherhood" is the same thing technically, I'll probably either not buy it, or not buy any "AC"-game after that.
Hmm, maybe I can use Macros for the weapon-switching...
