Tony Iommi plays monster riffs that demand that you pick up a guitar and learn to play. So I did.

My father played when I was a kid, and I would jam on his guitar. I wanted to be Ted Nugent, Ace Frehely, David Gilmour, Eddie Van Halen... You get the idea. By the time VH came out, I was playing for a few years, but the first time I heard "Tom Sawyer" by Rush, I knew I had to step up my game. My dad would show me tricks, and I'd grab my Les Paul (a '79 Custom LP, and I was the original owner) and practice until my fingers were numb. The first time a girl pulled her top off in front of my on stage, I knew I picked the right vocation. It still happens, and I'm almost 50 now. :^)
