    Equipment from Crates?

I was pleasantly surprised to find a Reflex Open x1 in my inventory from what I think was a Rare box. What exactly can come out of these boxes? I always assumed it was only plates or grenades, but now that I've found an Optic, I wonder if we would get other items or no? I assume that stuff like Suppressors and Extended Mags are weapon-specific so that you can't get them out.

I've gotten a Phantom Scope from a Legendary Case. I should've just sold it for the RP though, I didn't like it at all!

I've hardly played the game but how do you get uncommon and above crates? From the few games I've played I've only recieved common crates...

P.s. Crates is an amazing feature Ubisoft. <3.

You randomly get them from leveling, questing, and etc. I just found a full reflex from a Common Crate, so apparently all qualities drop stuff.

From what I understand about the loot box/crate system, the different levels (Common, Rare, and Legendary) just have different percentages to give you certain things. All the boxes have the same list of things they can reward you, but the more uncommon the box, the higher the chance you get something nice.

I've got a Mk I terrible armor insert out of a Legendary box, and I've also got a scope out of a Common box.

It's all random. Basically the better boxes have a higher percentage to award better items. For example, if it's 1% chance to get a Phantom from a Common box, it might be 5% from a Legendary.

So... what exactly determines what and how you're awarded loot? Those stars don't seem to follow any specific patterns. Is it based on the awards you earned for your team? I also assume that the stars mean:

    1 - Common
    2 - Rare
    3 - Legendary

Seems like a wonky way to award crates.

It's based off of a calculation of your total performance in the round + a luck score that will determine the loot you get. This luck score prevents players who perform well from constantly getting legendaries and also provides a chance for less-skilled players to receive legendary loot instead of never seeing the uber crates

On the whole, the better you perform the more legendaries you will get. Personally, I'm glad the system throws a bit of luck in there to make sure that the dominant don't constantly dominate.
