lol, I agree with you there. It is really a shame that PC gamers get shafted all the time, especially for a huge title like this. Some information would be lovely, but personally, I'm not going to get my hopes up. I'm used to getting shafted as a PC gamer.

GRO was an interesting idea, and I dunno, I might even play it for the heck of it one day, but I don't think it can replace GRFS simply because its a way to prevent piracy.

ATTENTION UBISOFT: If you want to reliably prevent piracy on the PC, you need to make an online mode thats worth playing, and that will make people want to pay to play. Draconian internet DRM isn't the solution.

I think it's great that Ubisoft are taking full advantage of the PC version of GRFS. Ubisoft's DRM only requires a one time activation for GRFS, most PC games are like this now. I don't quite understand what you're trying to say?. Certain GRFS mp features may or may not be to everyones liking, but again this happens with many games on different platforms.

Many here complain about news, which is greatly understandable. But complaining about that they dont give a **** about Pc players is wrong. They gave us GRO and they have now given us GRFS for pc which not only is alot of work and time consuming, but in a quite short notice. Even if it is a port, they are actually trying to make the port better for us the pc players. Im so sick of the complaints from players PC and Console, its disgusting me to see how people start flame wars and being so jealous of each other. I would like to thank Ubisoft for giving us these great games ! I would like more info, but ive preordered it anyway and Im really excited for this title.

Earlier games required you to be online all the time in order to play the game. I'm aware that they've since gotten rid of that horrid practice, but if you come up with garbage like that ONCE then you're bound to do it again lol.

And in regards to PC players getting shafted, I mean only when it comes to games that happen to be on PCs and consoles at the same time. I'm not jealous of console gamers, I have a 360 and a PS3 if I wanted to buy it for console badly enough, I just prefer PC. As PC gamers, there are LOTS of games for us to play that consoles don't get. It's just that once in a while we get a game like GRFS which is a multi-platform game, and its USUALLY the case that the PC version is just a half-baked afterthought. Not saying thats always the case, though. I thought R6V and R6V2 were the worst examples of PC porting from ubisoft, however if GRFS is as good quality as AC2 -> ACR were, in terms of port jobs, then I'll be very satisfied with GRFS.

It should be identical to the 360/PS3 version in terms of functionality.
There are a few PC centric features such as improved visual fidelity and keyboard layouts. Please see here:

Is this what you meant 'more PC information will be coming soon' in the statement below Ubi-Mush?

C'mon, it's already known that a Steam release has not been announced and all the April 3rd news item really confirms is that the PC iteration of GR:FS runs on the PC -- it says absolutely nothing about being 'identical to the 360/PS3 version in terms of functionality' no less anything with respect to features like game design, engine, maps, or game mode parity with the consoles...

Another week of months of weeks has slid by without a peep about GR:FS PC, all we know about the PC iteration of the game is in the April 3rd announcement, we have no 'official' screen shots, no official confirmation if it even offers feature parity with the Console game, no expansion or explanation of any of the differences, and obviously no confirmation as to whether the game will have or not have some of the features that weigh in heavily with some PC Fans asked about in the OT post and through out this forum for over a year...

I'm not being cynical here but even those feature that have been announced could be used to very poor effect where most may well prefer how the game looks on the consoles; some of the 'unofficial' PC screen shots for example look absolutely horrible like alpha render tests or DX11 execution so bad it would be embarrassing... Sans actually seeing more about the PC game pre-ordering will be completely out of the question for many, and for those even considering buying will defer till there's a demo, reviews, opinions of others that have made the jump, and unfortunately in some cases from the comments on this very forum will even motivate stealing warez...

Even if feature wise this GR:FS PC won't be the game every PC Fan wants, it would be nice to see a more positive beat based on real and known information rather then the growing cynicism we currently see based on what's not known and the marginal historical treatment Ubisoft has given the PC and its Audience of Clancy Fans...

Yes and it looks terrible, with more blur, bloom, glare, and fog then an old and bad DirectX 8 me too look what I can do demo -- or our player models are being represented in the PC iteration of the game as having about 20:200 vision... I can get this same effect if I take my glasses off, or stare at the sun till I get burn cataracts... I hope this is not representative of how the PC game will be rendered in entirety...

Apparently there will be more information 'soon' but that was last week... We do have new and improved links to the over month old information that includes one screen shot and confirmation that GR:FS PC will run on the PC 'enhanced' with fog, blur, glow, bog, glare, blare, dof, and an amazing draw distance of just four inches... Another leaked screen shot?

Hopefully the game is better then the linking and embedding function on this forum or, ouch-weee....
