Why the paucity of information only five weeks out?

With only six weeks to go before the PC version of GR:FS hits the shelves; it would seem to be in timely order to start filling the holes in people's knowledge and expectations with more information and facts so that expectations are on par with reality... There are a slew of very basic and important questions to just about every PC Clancy and tactical realism Fan that have been asked ad infinitum on these forums and elsewhere that and gone unanswered, like: - Will GR:FS PC offer a server browser?- Will there be a stand alone dedicated server?- Is the game going to be available via digital distribution like Steam?- Will there be mod tools?- Does the PC version of the game have the same maps and game modes as the console game?- Will there be any feature or content differences for the PC from the console version of the game?- Why has there been so little information, and so late? There was more information about the console version of GR:FS six months ago then there is just six weeks out for the PC version's release -- it's not difficult to understand the growing perception of worry over a depreciated PC product... While obviously answers to some questions may be disappointing to some, having realistic expectations about just what's being offered could avoid a lot of unnecessary Fan ire and over-reaction...

Its pretty clear how important this release is to ubi, we can't get answers to any questions. Heck, I can't even pre-order it through their site.

PC version is such an after thought, just look how they cancelled it and resurrected it. Shame! It all started on PC!

Answers to these questions are what can make or break this game honestly.
Game needs to be advertised on PC if its gonna succeed. People are very skeptical nowadays especially when u got Max Payne 3 around the corner as well.
    We need a playable demo.

Do you really expect much from this game. Ubi has stopped caring for pc gamers.
Probably because they didn't make much money off the first ghost recon on pc, 11 years ago when pc's costed 2,000$
Just remember what happened to Ghost Recon 2. blaaaaa

The day they announce GR2 is the same day UBI stopped caring for their PC customers. They've been treating us poorly ever since that day.

Yes, over and above render capacity these features pretty much define the PC platform for most Gamers; even though many Publishers seem to be working over time to obviate them...

Yes, Max Payne 3, and then BI with their new more accessible ArmA 3 game, as well it seems Blackfoot Studios and Serellan are all on track to steal Ubisoft's tactical realism fire -- the genre R6 and Ghost Recon pretty much inaugurated and popularized.

I'd be happy for the promise of Mod Tools; with a capable MDK anything that disappoints any segment of the audience can be tweaked, fixed, removed, or added to...

More PC information will be coming soon, keep an eye out for announcements. I will pass on those questions.

Looking forward to it! But, 'soon' is one of those words that curls PC Fan's teeth...
