I had attempted to start a GRAW style outfit at one point by getting a Crye CAGE style armor chassis:

I had the shoulder armor as well, but never wore it since it was just to restrictive.

What I really need is the GRAW helmet that doesn't really exist.

    Forgot about this thread!

Could probably get away with a MICH/IBH for the helmet nowadays. No one's going to judge you for less.

I'm thinking about the goggles. With GRO, it appears the assault has full-face spectacles now as opposed to the cross-com monocle of olden days. My thoughts would be to take a set of ballistic glasses, and place blue LEDs right on the backs of the rims with AAAs taped to the right side of the frame in black electrical tape to make it look like a camera ^_^

    MUST. BUY. FULL. SET.

I unfortunately don't have anything in OD/Tan... Dem Ghosts really don't seem to enjoy operating in any place remotely urban black anymore Q_Q

or just for some real fun

Of course these are actual helmets, *shrug*

I used to play Painball all the time but the airsoft phenom never really caught on with me.

I updated my gear a bit since those photos were taken, decided to emulate the DEA FAST teams as I liked the loadouts they were using. I ditched the Crye CAGE replica for a real Eagle CIRAS, picked up a real Ops-Core Ballistic Helmet (fake side covers), and I often use my ESS ICE ballistic glasses with RX inserts instead of the ESS Goggles over my normal glasses. The ICE glasses don't fog nearly as much as goggles + glasses which is an important thing here in Canada where it's more often cold than not.

My gear isn't just for airsoft though, I often go to the range with some buddies of mine from the Canadian Forces (I'm an ex-Reservist) and we like to run drills. Obviously, being that this is Canada, we can't run all the drills we need to practice for CF standards at a range due to our laws about firearms and the like. We do our best though, and I keep going out to keep myself sharp in case I decide to reenlist.

So yeah, that's why my gear is mostly real stuff instead of the cheaper knock-off China stuff that works just fine for airsoft.
