    Stair glitching

I wondering if anything is gonna be done to fix this. It has been getting out of hand the past few weeks and quite annoying. I don't really use it out of habit of the past GR ladder rules ,but I have used it a few times as assault to see if it's safe to move up and usually get a kill because of it. Afterward I feel dirty . I played a little recon over the past few days and just watched others purposely lay on the stairs. Lately a lot of recon I see uses as their bread and ****er. I usually tell teammates to stop and usually met with some rude comments. Then they're usually met with a rude nade afterwards. Just wonder what everyone one else thought. I remember in past games this was a problem. Think it's time they fixed it.

I know how you feel man people will get mad and start saying all sorts of stuff when you tell them to stop exploiting. This is something Ubi knows about and hopefully the next patch will fix that along with dolphin diving. I do agree with you it seems that the exploits are being used much more know that everyone knows about them and I see a lot of recon players that use that as their main strategy. Recons as it stand in my opinion are way overpowered their class abilities combined with the exploits and linear maps are a deadly combination.

Recons are not OP. They can detect people behind walls, and cloak for about 10 seconds. Assaults can be invincible for longer than that, and knock people down so they can't fight, then kill them while they're on their back. Specialists have shotguns that can blow you away from pretty good distances. The only class that is OP is the one that has a skilled player behind the kbm.

I just don't like people who rely on it so much and still do so bad at keeping the other team down. I remember seeing on just get rushed by a assault and did nothing to stop the assault from killing him.

I don't have a problem with dolphin diving...just aim down. Sometime if I know the person, since there is a small player pool, I just start shooting at their knees and they usually drop into a headshot.

I wouldn't say recon is overpowered. I play assault and the past few days I been dabbling in the recon soup. I think its boring. I don't like sitting in the back sniping and the smgs are usually one clip one kill.I know how to play the recon well by just being killed by other good recon like highground, Bourne, jspook, and others. I think I went 24-8 and like 11 headshots in one round with a srs c with a 1.5x scope just to spice up the recon play(pretty much just played like smg and cloak). In the end I don't like recon.

    Agree recon are not OP.

Disagree about assasult being invincible. The only thing assasult has going for them is their rifles. HEAT is ok but recons are usually not affected by it. Blitz is a roflcoppter, you can be killed blitzing someone. I know this because when i was recon the past few days I shot a blitzing assasult right in the shield for a crit of 128 and he died. Then when into match chat and flipped out. Shotguns have been nerfed and need to be left alone.

I can't stand when people do this. When I see it, I usually alert them that it is a known exploit. Ask them to stop. If they don't, I let my team know where they are to avoid it. If they are on my team I will occasionally accidentally drop a grenade on them.

Its a really bad bug that needs to be address ASAP. More so, line of sight on a whole is broken, player positions and views are not accurately displayed to all players, and not just on stairs, this is true for standing players.

ecma is right. I was explaining to [GM]GirlFriday, that even going prone around a corner is misleading. More of your body shows than when on a ramp, but not enough to be realistic. You can still sit without being hit most of the time. It has to do with the 3rd person view. What should happen is they should make looking down the sights down the middle of your body, so no matter which side you are on, at least some of your body is showing.

I personally always use cover around corners just to be fair. Once in a great while I will prone around corners to only kill the people who refuse to stop prone glitching.

Assaults get shotguns too. And they are far from invincible, as you can shoot through the shield when they blitz. I do agree that recon isn't OP (it's an easy class to play, but not OP), countering one or two can be done. The issue arises when one team has 6 or more, and the opposing team has 1. Smart assault/specs won't push up if they are met with instant death, as even 3 good snipers can lock down a choke point pretty easily.

As for the stairs thing, I've noticed the tracks near "C" (on the subway map) function pretty much the same. You can be crouched, on the far right side of the platform, and while you can only see the top 2" of the enemy's head, he has a clear shot at you. If you watch, the bullets actually come from about a foot above the platform.

I am also guilty of dropping a nade on a friendly exploiter. Or standing infront of him, so he can't shoot and has to relocate. It's funny how mad people get when you ruin their cheating.
