    A work around for the dolly shots you've been missing. Hope it helps

    Place a helicopter or aircraft orbiting around the object you want the dolly shot of. Set the speed and elevation as desired, and then use the (f5 or ctrl+f5) view. Manipulate the camera to the angle and zoom you want and record.
    Note: If the object you want the shot of is not an active vehicle or aircraft, you will need to place one near the target to use the f5/ctrl+f5 view on.

    Its not perfect but can produce some excellent slow pan and dolly shots.
