So far the semi-auto shotgun seems to be the best weapon to use. Very little aiming is required. The range is less then a sniper, but not by much. Usually only takes 1-2 shots to get a kill and they don't have to be head shots. It's also easy to kill 1-3 people at the same time if they are together in the same area.

Really? When I used the pentagun (which I assume you bean by semi-auto shotgun, though there are 3 of them) I can't remember it aiming itself for me, or using it to counter-snipe. I can attest to the 1-2 shot kill thing, even without headshots. It is, after all, a shotgun. And yes, it can be used to mow down a group of people that are close by. You can also do that with any of the SMGs, ARs, or LMGs.

I'd really like to know how many times I've been killed by specific weapons within my stats section. It'd be interesting to see exactly where the pentagun actually sits. I'd assume it's far lower on the scale than the rampant MK-16s, but who cares . The pentagun is super duper OP and anyone that uses it is an uber n00bcake cheater.

I've since moved on to the m1014 C, which I have suppressed and should mention does 18 less damage than a suppressed pentagun. I do all of 144 damage, meaning most assaults need 2 of my 5 shots to kill. I also reload one round at a time. I'm so OP.

I dont think the Penta is OP and later lvl players. I say that early on...it's a great weapon to rank up with...but it's not so great against the harder armor and better, more $$$ shotties. Plus...the range sucks vs mk-16's and the UBER OP SR-25 and some other M200 sniper rifle or something...cant recall its name. The auto sniper rifles are way more to fear than the Pentagun...trust me. You wont get anywhere using Penta vs good far lvl snipers. I've been there and done that. Sure the Penta does GREAT early on...but that's it.

The issue with the rampant Mk16 can be linked to the mentality of "damage/bullet" as opposed to combat effectiveness. I have never been killed by the CQC model of the Mk 16, nor seen anyone besides me using one. I've seen plenty of Mk 16 SVs and maybe two Mk 16 normals.

If anyone has gone and done the math, an interesting observation can be made:

The Mk 16 SV has a 630RM of 40 damage, which comes out to 24K DPS over 2.86 seconds before empty on standard mags.

The Mk 16 CQC model features a 730RPM of 37 damage, which comes out to a damage per second of 27K over 2.47 seconds before empty on standard mags.

Assuming an Assault with 140 HP has 13% or more armor (pretty much any assault with 1 armor insert and Lv 7 armor), both the SV and CQC models need 5 shots minimum for a takedown.

I'm just surprised there aren't more people running around as Ninjasssaults. Been having a lot of fun using the CQC for point-blank engagements.

I use the Mk. 16 SV on my level 28 Assault. I like that I can use it in CQC with it relatively quick ADS and it's mid range accuracy... but what I really like is the fact that I can, if need be, reach out and touch someone with it. I am only using the Open Reflex 1X sight on it as well. I have been told the ACR is better, I have been told the AR-21 is better, but with the added stability of the front bipod and the low recoil of the SV version I don't see myself switching to anything else any time soon.

Pentagun is nowhere against the M500. I was using it since I bought it, and I have to say, that if you flank the enemy with it, no one survives that. On Chertanovo LZ, I have flanked the enemy 2 times. I only needed 5 slugs, to kill 5 enemy. It's a very good, one-shot kill shotgun, and can be used very well, in a face-to-face combat, or with flanking purposes. I am called a hacker once, and someone recorded me playing, because he thought I was hacking. Needless to say, I killed the whole team 2 times, to hold them up as long as I could, until my team captured the point.

P.S.: Shotguns do not need to be nerfed. They are as good as now, the damage, the recoil, the handling and the accuracy is perfectly set, the gun is not OP, it's just the user who uses it well.

You see...I hated the M500 because if you miss, you're dead. With Pentagun, you still have a chance to live. I had both guns...I was much better with the faster firing Penta.

On the flip side: if you can hit with the M500, specifically the M500SV, then you are golden. I tried the Pentagun, and I ended up sticking with the M500SV because of the longer range to one-shot a target. If you can't aim and OHKO, this slow thing will teach you.
