    Line of sight is broken

Characters position are not represented accurately to other players. This is by far my biggest frustration with the game at this point. Some examples:

    1. All I can see of an enemy is their shoulder, based on the visual feedback the game is giving me, they can not see me. I take a few seconds to line up a shot, and in that time they've killed me, when it should be impossible (based on the visual feedback)

    2. When player's are lying prone on ramps and stairs, all I can see is a few inches of the top of their head, its should be impossible for them to see me, let alone fire a gun at me. Yet this is what happens.

    3. When I'm lying prone, and can just make out the lower half of an enemy unser some obstacles, they should not be able to see me. Same issue, I think I have time to line up the shot, but against what is physically possible, they can see me.

I really want to see this bug addressed, as it can kill a lot of the fun for me.

Same thing here. Seeming impossible "miracle shots" from a lower elevation to a higher elevation while crouched behind concrete and metal walls. Maybe if they were using .50 cal depleted uranium bullets. But he's right, the LOS issues are very aggravating and not realistic. Otherwise gameplay and graphics are great.

    It's a known issue.

Last I heard they were working on it, and it is generaly up to the population NOT to use this exploit to get kills. However there is no system for enforcing them not to use it. You can yell, scream, or threatening reporting them, but honestly it's the honor system if they do or don't.

However, what you can do is pretty much identfy where these places are and avoid them and or don't engage them there forcing them to come out of their caves.

My prefered option is to put my cloak on and go and flank every single one of the buggers followed by some pithy comment like "Stop exploiting, or i'll find you" not that I won't try and find them anyways. heh, i'm joking I don't make it personal. Why? Generaly because most people don't know it's an exploit, not everyone who plays visits the forums to find this stuff out and honestly they probably don't realize they are doing anything wrong. Just figured they were lucky or good. *shrug*

A Match is hardly the place to explain it to them. So just go easy on your fellow gamers and try not to get too angry. I still ocassionaly die to shots like the above but I take it with a grain of salt, I die far more often to "Legit" kills that the "un-legit" make me feel good that it took an exploit to bring me down, gives me pride on somthing to take the place of my horrible K/D ratio.

    Anyways man, peace

I think you are talking about stair/ramp glitching, not the more general "line of sight" bugs. The two are related for sure, but this game has a line of sight bug that can affect you around any obstacle with your character in any stance. The only way to avoid these is to stand in the open at all times. In simple terms, a players position/view is not always accurately portrayed to the other players. This is true when they are prone on a ramp, but also true when standing behind a crate.

I guess I made the asumption that the two went hand in hand. Resolving one, would resolve the other as they are essentialy tied to the same basic mechanic, the shooters Point of View not being realisticly represented on the physical model more accuratly. As in I get shot by someone's wispy cap sticking out of a corner rather than actually seing the guy pointing a gun at me.

In a way, they do. You can stair/ramp glitch yes, but you can also glitch using the corners of walls and stuff. (Or under trains as I do all the time ) and be very difficult (But still possible) to be shot.

If you see me first, you die.
    Bottom line, you die.

This is by far the single most annoying and poor issue with the game right now.

Also add to this issue the whole stairs/ramp exploit a lot of recons love to use so that all you can see is a few pixels of their helmet.
