What Far Cry fans didn't Like the most about FC2 was the change of the environment....Tropical Island was the image of Far Cry and Africa environment in FC2 was '' THE '' biggest mistake....

Now all fans of Far Cry are excited about Far Cry 3 because it's back in the Tropical Islands......

If FC2 had the same gamemodes(Predator), the same vehicles(not slow and easy to destroy on roadbumps), same movement (not moving as slow as a 500 pound man), and same engine overall, players would still enjoy it and not be as nit-picky about the game's setting.

A lot of people are excited about FC3 because it's clearly much faster paced, there's new and cool gamemodes, and the vehicles(in singleplayer) preform much better and don't need to be repaired after every other speedbump. Plus the fact that it's tropical is reminding them of previous titles, yes, so that's a good thing.

FC2 wasn't a home run at all, the engine looked great but the storyline and environment wasn't close to the success of FC 1.

FC3 is on a great track, everyone loves the storyline and the environment in the tropical island are fantastic. Far Cry 3 was surfing on the wave of success, beside a couple of great ideas missing that many discussed here that could be add to the campaign, like Scuba diving, mini ultra lite helicopter, multiple small island, underground caves etc.

The only cold wind that destabilized the fans was the multiplayer and editor which are worring fans for now but maybe Ubisoft will soon show that we were geting worry for nothing....at least i hope...!

Ubisoft probably learn alot from multiplayer preview show, they will probably get prepared alot more next time to avoid contreversy.....the marketing team made big mistake in the way they presented multiplayer...

often in business is not how you made it but how you present it that is important.....

Personally, I would much rather have the map editor stay as it is because I don't want to change the gravity of objects or the friction that they have. Those types of tools are best sticking with the game that suits them.

    i disagree DapperHayden.....

we should have all items and tools unlocked in the editor to let us decide what we want in the custom maps.

Many are frustrated that Massive decided to removed all vehicles from multiplayer but at least.....if all tools and items...like vehicles....are unlocked and available...in the editor....well everyone will be happy, all could play in the kind of maps they wish....

TRIALS EVOLUTION from Ubisoft Redlynx is having a huge success ( half a million sold in 7 days...! ) because the editor given with the game is exactly the same as the one they used to make the game...possibilities are endless....

I didn't mean specific objects like vehicles, what I meant is that it is pointless wasting space on the game to add friction and change up physics of things when Far Cry is a shooter. Don't forget, it is only my opinion

And i respect your opinion My friend......but My opinion.....is different, i do beleive it would be better to have full controll on the original editor even on objects physic and friction....but it's also only My humble opinion...

It wouldn't take that much space on the dvd....
