I want the Trials Evolution Editor in FC3 | Forums

Have any of you played Ubisofts new game Trials: Evolution? Motorcycle platformer with its own level editor?
If not, you should. It has the most robust editor ever released on a console. There are no limits. There are a million objects. You can create events, waterfalls, localized weather effects, Water at different levels, Terrain Editing. You can even program the controller to have different uses. In fact, the only thing missing from the mix, are guns. If it had them, it would be over.

MASSIVE; If you give us anything less than this spectacular Editor for our Far Cry game, you will have failed miserably.

Seriously guys. This Editor is everything that we have ever wished for. I bet it gets DLC support also.
If you have not tried it yet, I suggest you go and download the demo just to try out the editor. It will take you an hour just to go through all of the menu options.
It is literally the anything you can imagine editor.

Ubisoft Massive said that the new map editor is virtually an enhanced version of the previous one.

Mike are you stuck in or on a vehicle at all times or can you get out and walk around, I looked at a video but once I saw it was motorbikes and stuff I didn't look any further - Looks a bit like Joe Danger but 100000 million times better.

Maybe they will release it as a FPS further down the line, after all the terrain editing and waterfalls and stuff would still work the same, just a matter of putting in different items and adding player physics and guns and stuff - Could you see it happening at some point?

Sounds a bit like something you mentioned in the feedback forums maybe 4 years ago where the editor is all on one disc and it works with different games.

Guys, it'll be a while until, (IF) that engine for the map maker is given to other game developers. Ubisoft sure isn't using it this time around, and the original creators or Trials would have to go in and create all those FPS elements as stated above. And considering they don't make FPS titles, it will be a long time if ever. The map maker we're going to have will be AWESOME, I can already tell. FC2's map editor was top-notch, and if its improved, there's nothing we should be worrying about.

Trial Evolution editor is fantastic, the only limites of the editor is our imagination. This game is great, definitivly so far the 2012 game of the year. Every time a game comes out, there is always something that we are saying to our self that is missing. we have the feeling that the devlopers didn't listen their fans because we tought about it and posted it in forums.....

Trials Evolution is the first game that i can say that the producers of the game didn't only gave the fans all the wished....they even gave us more that we could had dream......yap....it's that cool....!

They even created many mini tutorial videos to help us get ready to use the editor.....'' THAT'S BRILLANT '' and posted them one week before the release of the game so we would be ready

I hear what your saying lil_morta_z but Ubisoft Massive Sweden were not really known for FPS Titles before FC3 multiplayer, so Trials Evolution will be a big success - have you seen the review scores, they are extremely high / good.

It would be good business for them to pursue other options like the FPS Market, and good for us if there are more titles with editors, look at the success of LittleBigPlanet on PS3.
I am sure that FC3 will be an excellent game but there will always be those who want vehicles in the multiplayer and those that might want options which we don't get in FC3 (depending on what game modes we get)

Massive IMO are a couple of decisions away from going to Colossus / Huge / Gigantic.
If at a later date we get some DLC that has a couple more Game Modes - maybe solo (DM) and their own take on Capture The Flag / possibly even a Predator mode where the Pred sees everyone as those dark demons with shiny eyes - plus a patch that allows some or all vehicles from single player in the editor and multiplayer, Then I think that would show that they have done everything the community could ask of them.

I am confident that FC3 will keep me happy for the next 2 or 3 years, hell FC2 has me still playing it now and it is not the best game to show someone multiplayer.
But in all honesty long term the Editor is the big draw on these games - Single player you might do 3 or 4 times but the editor has endless possibilities so the more we get the better the life span of the game.

Once again people are speaking without unstanding some basics of programing.
The TE editor will never be in FC3, the reason is that it can handle and do so much is because Trials' is a low-res game with everything on a much smaller scale (programing/graphically speaking)

If Trials had the same high res, high poly count graphics as FC3, the track editor would probably be more limited than FC2's. And if you were to take TE's track editor and put it into a 2D game with say 8-bit graphics, it could be probably 50x bigger and house 1000x more objects/details. It would be limited to a 2D plane, of course. But you could fit a lot more in given current gen console's power.

My point is, you can't expect something in one setting/game just because it's in another. You have to understand a console/game's limits.

But i could expect from a 59.95$ game to be as spectacular as a 15.00$ game....

Ubisoft Redlynx succeeded to make the game even more spectacular than we dreamed so it should be the same for FC3, Now that TI is out Ubisoft should ask Redlynx guys to jump in with massive and Ubisoft Montreal to help make Far Cry 3 a game even more spectacular that we are expecting....


many great ideas are in this forum here in many threads, all Ubisoft have to do is to listen to us and make sure all the best programers are working on FAR CRY 3.....including Redlynx guys...!
