    Roof Camping, Counterplay?

Not complaining at players who camp on the rooftops, they gain extra mobility on their targets, additional bonuses attacking from the air and its available to be used, so nuff said there.

My only issue with players who camp on the rooftop is that I do not know of any way to effectively counter it.

Just so we are all on the same page, this is manhunt/deathmatch when your target remains on the roof for most of the game, rarely coming to the ground except when absolutely necessary, to move around the map orto secure a kill.

    - Gun ability can be used, but offers little in terms of points.
    - You can kill a civilian to get a new target, but then you are simply removing pressure from the roof camper, who is already playing aggressively enough.
    - Stalking their target sounds like a great idea, but without knowing who their target is, this just isn't a viable strategy.
    - Approaching them on the rooftops is asking to stunned or handing them an escape bonus.

Any other suggestions for counterplay to roof camping?

Most people respond on the forum that players who dislike roof camping don't know how to counter it, then fail to offer any constructive advice on how to counter this playstyle. Again I'm not looking to complain about strategies which are used frequently, I'm just looking for other more experienced players advice on how to most effectively deal with this frustrating tactic, roof camping.

    - I suggest not using the hidden gun in deathmatch. It can be used in manhunt, but only use it on a running or jumping target.
    - you can also use knives to knock them off ledges, beams, etc.. Knives can also be used to get uncontested kills or stuns.
    - don't focus to much on getting a good kill. Just kill them and move on.
    - bait them in using their abilities. When they use for ex. mute, try to hang of the ledge for a grab kill. Make a U-turn when you're expecting a smoke.
    - use structures: chimneys are (donnu after patch) a good way to avoid a smokebomb and get an acrobatic.
    - if he/she has multiple pursuers and you know he (or she) has an ability, try using the other pursuer as a shield.
    - offensive smoke bomb (2 points in duration and resilience as a perk), allows for uncontested kills most of the time (build your meter up before you do this).
    - don't start a chase, unless you want to give a teammate a diversion.
    - offensive mute

That's all I can think of right know. Hope it helps you.

Knife + Grab Kill when they're near the ledge. Knife them, they see you climbing up but they can't run away.

The best counter is to leave the match and find another lobby. Those people are no fun to play with.
