My boredom is an abnormal phenomenon. For instance, for the past few days I've been very bored and that's after having dealt with a rash of burglaries to local businesses, an emotionally disturbed person (or EDP), a motor vehicle accident (or MVA), a house fire, a fist fight between two males in the middle of the street, a number of ambulance requests and, gee, I can't even remember the rest. Anyway, being bored after all that is cause for concern.
He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end.

After days like that, I usually welcomed a little boredom.

No, that's "Peace & Quiet". There's a difference. I was bored at work when these things were going on. Relaxing, in and of itself, does not constitute boredom. Boredom is a state of mind. What's boring to one, may not be boring to another. But now, I'm being superfluous. What I was trying to say is that, what was once exciting about my job is now boring to me.

Ahhh, I now understand. I very well understand. I was the same way before I retired.

Time for either a new job or a vacation.
