Good luck! I did my first MM event Sunday, and it was harder than I thought in terms of actually memorizing the songs. "Run Back To Your Side" chord and "Go With the Flow" combo were easy, but I kept tripping over the solo in "When I'm With You" and the timing in "Do You Remember" killed me. But I got the encore anyway, so I'm sure you will too.

Edit: forgot I had "Angela" in there, too, but the only hard part on that one is counting the 6 full measures for that one sustain while still being in time.

if your ps3 HD is full or nearly full, then the ps3 becomes quite unstable. I highly suggest trying to keep at least 25% of your ps3 hard drive empty, it'll greatly help your ps3 stability. There are a couple games out there with huge install files (Gran Turismo 5, Metal Gear Solid 4, LA Noir), and if you erase those you can free up a lot of space. Just make sure to only erase the game data, not the save data, and you'll save all your progress.

It is with an immense satisfaction that I announce that the unlockable song has been unlocked. Finally. Six months later, there is nothing more to unlock and now I can play for fun (and for the weekly challenge).

I tried the Master Event approach, and although the PS3 did not freeze with this 4 song Master event, I got White Denim as a Master Encore, which I had not memorized and of course, no double encore for me. I did not get out of this event empty handed, though. I got me a "stage ready" trophy for my first Master event.

Sure enough, as many people have told here, after two 7 song setlist events I got a 5 song event. Replaced songs with We Share the Same Skies to practice for the weekly challenge, and four mastered songs. For the encore I got Smoke on the Water, that I have endlessly repeated for the week 8 challenge, and voilà... last unlocked song: Star Spangled Banner.

Don't know if it will help but i was in a similar situation as you. Didn't level up as far because of the freezing issues, but I did delete my save file and start completely over. I am at level 7 and have unlocked all 6 songs. I played less than what I could and didn't change any songs that were put in the setlists. Hope this helps....
