Angry Quit taking my Acheivements away!

Why bother posting achievements if you are going to take them off? I used the forums to get help for getting the Reversal or Repentance Achievement and the suggestion was to use a non-campaign map. I did what was proposed and it did work. So I went back to my Achievement list only to find that now all of my Impressive General Achievements were totally gone! When i first logged in I had the IG 1 and part of IG 2 with previous points I had made in Unstoppable General grayed out. What is the deal with this? I have finished all of the Campaigns and have the achievements for those don't you think that I would have made the IG achievements during all that time? FFS I almost have the 25 years of game-play in points! It is bad enough to make some of the achievements impossible but to take them away is just totally unconscionable.

Before you go ranting like a spoiled brat, a little research on these boards would have revealed that the Impressive General Achievement is bugged. It keeps resetting itself. So, they are not unconscionably taking away your achievements, but rather it's one minor bug in a long list of bugs. While that in of itself is a sad state of affairs, it's not an indication of malice, but (more likely) incompetence which they may be taking steps to rectify (note that they just released a patch and say they are working on more).

Calling someone a spoiled brat because they are upset about a problem wont help either. I spent a great deal of time trying to find things on this forum and it isn't easy. I have used the search functions and often get a blank. It took me several days of trying to even find the solution for the Reversal and Repentance. I am 60 years old and homebound, disabled, so my games are about all I have to keep me busy.

Thank you for the courtesy of the reply at least. Now I know it is bugged and will just ignore it. I had it all once so will just leave it at that.

There's being upset, and then there's making wild accusations with no basis in fact and adding to the whiny, hyperbolic tone that is way too prevalent on these boards (and in life). Instead of accusing Ubisoft of intentionally engaging in "unconscionable" behavior by actually taking away achievements, you could have asked why the achievement was gone and if there was a problem.

And, since the tone of your reply and other posts I've read by you are far more reasonable the the OP here, perhaps my calling you out actually did help.

I didnt get my achievements back. Some days I get really frustrated and it was a bad day when those totally disappeared. They had reset once already right after the patch so I just chalked it up to the patch and went on about my business and re-acquired them. Then when I did the rant they had totally disappeared again. The Impressive General achievement seems to be not counting all my battles now. Not sure if only the battles with other heroes count or all battles. I am redoing Kiril now as a tears instead of blood hero and have won every battle and even got the achievement with the Mother Namtaru but the IG ones are not advancing like they should have so I figure it is still bugged. I also got the 25th Anniversary Achievement now. I play these things way too much but then I just have nothing else I can do. It is funny how important they can become.
