Thread: A comment about FC2, that perhaps applies to FC3 even more... | Forums

Now that i think of it, you're right. I really never noticed while playing. (The ONLY thing that i really hated was the ending...)

Now, i'm Canadian (I live near Toronto) and i went to North Carolina for a Nascar race. (The most redneck thing out there, eh?) Almost everyone, of not everyone was very nice, the vendors at the Race were polite, and nice.

I think the reason people see Americans (And maybe Canadians, too) the we do is becasue of the movies.

That is definitely a big part of it People who don't know American culture and have never been there tend to view all Americans as either Clint Eastwood or Larry the Cable Guy. (Incredibly cool or utterly repulsive).

I think it's not that noticeable in the big Farcry3 picture, and don't think it's a game breaker...imo, anyway.

Here in Canada, we tend to be seen as having a more relaxed attitude to pot (as an example) as the States do.

That's the way it is...it's like the story of the dam...you plug the hole here, and water gets through there, it'll never stop completely.

We have countless gro-ops that get hit all the time, but they'll never shut it down permanently...that's for sure.

In regards to the Holographik comment...I live in Ottawa, that borders with Quebec...and, the infighting, arguing and razzing between the two Provinces goes on every day.

So, saying they find Americans obnoxious, is a small part of the big picture...lol

Americans, have ended up being stereotyped as flag waving, loudmouths over the years, online and offline. There's nothing wrong with being patriotic by any means...but, the rest of the global population has found it a little annoying at times.

Just as Canadians have been found to be laid back, and very passive. I was in a game room once, and was joining some British folk in a match, and all the negativity started towards me...of course, until I stated that I lived in Canada...then the mood changed, and it was all good.

Unfortunately, as the saying goes...'You lie in the bed you made'...

And that bed has been a little bit rough, for our Southern cousins...

    Then again...it's just a game...
