I just got this game today and cant beat the carrier mission. I reach the deck of the carrier and keep getting shot at by all angles, That heli just circles around laying down lead like its rain. How do you beat it?

PS. When I start the sandbox editor is says something like "your desktop is not set to 32bpp WTF does that mean? And how can I fix it?

First thing to do as always is taking out the helicopter gunners. When you have done that all you have to do is progress slowly and use the boxers for cover. As you may have noticed there is a machine gunner to take care of too behind you from where you climb up.

But first the helicopter gunner. When you have done that itâ´s not that difficult.

I had the same problem, kept getting killed so fast by that darn helicopter gunner. Sooooo, I backtracked! Go back down into the ship and go out to the bow of the ship and get behind the machine gun. Wait for the helicopter to come in range and blow it out of the sky. Then, run back up to the top of the ship to deal with the mercenaries. Always, always take care of the helicopters first.

Ok, I got the boat off the carrier and completed the level. AT the beginning of the next level, I start out in the boat with no only a P90. No other weapons. And all the ammo is gone. Is it supposed to start this way? How to start this level with no weapons????

I had ALL my weapons for the next level. You just suffered some glitch. Go back to a previous auto save and start from there.

jump off the carrier in to the water. swim to shallow water, shoot the cables holding the zodiak in place, swim out to it, jump in it and zoom away. you can do it without fighting any of the mercs on the top level.

Sure you can do it that way, but you miss out on all the fun of taking them mercs out. I clean house baby! Only way to play.

I went ahead and played it with glitch. I just hauled *** into the first hut, grabbed the M16 on the shelf and kicked ***. Wierd glitch though.
