    Blitz Shield Frontal Weakness?

I've noticed that there is a glass pane on the Blitz shield which I would assume is a view port for whoever is using it, and while it hasn't happened enough for me to confirm, it seems like you can shoot through that glass pane and kill whoever is blitzing. In the past, I had to aim for an Assault's Legs when he's blitzing or when I have flanked him, but recently I've been shooting at the top of their shields and gotten a fairly notable degree of success.

Has anyone noticed this/can give input? Granted, I'm using a shotgun and I could be hitting something else (such as their head as I am aiming at the top of the shield), but I'm fairly certain that I'm getting them through the eye slit.

You can shoot through the shield, no need to aim for the glass. I know this, as I was always taught to shoot for center mass, and that's how I stop blitzing assaults.

So then the shield is like Aegis where it can be overmatched?

Well Im not sure about the whole bullets go through the front but I can tell u that the head is partially exposed at the top. Ive killed plenty of blitzing assaults by aiming for their head. I personally have never died from a target in front of me while I had my shield fully in front of me.

I propose a test. At some point today, if you guys see me in a match, we'll go off to the side somewhere, and test this out. I'm 100% sure I'm getting through the shield, and I don't bother aiming for the head.

The shield definitely seems ineffective to me, and I'm a level 21 Assault who uses Blitz as often as possible.

Whether you can shoot the player through the shield (bug) or it's just easy to to hit other parts of the player in the front like the legs or head below/above the shield (poor design), I think the ability needs to be changed.

As is, many of my blitzes have been foiled by automatic guns directly in front of me. That's not to say it never works: it's usually glorious as bullets bounce off of me as I sprint forward. But a lot of the time (1/4 is my rough estimate) I get shot down by people directly in front of me (within 15 degrees) as I rush toward them.

It would be one thing if this ability were in a vacuum, but my issue with this periodic ineffectiveness is that Blitz competes with Aegis for "pushing forward without taking damage." Yet, Blitz is far worse because it doesn't even give the rushing player effective invulnerability from even the front like it's supposed to. Rushing forward to get enemies in cover or at the other end of a corridor with Blitiz is often a good way to get yourself killed because with 3 people all shooting you, you will die. Aegis works fine in this situation, however: the enemies either run away or get killed by the approaching Specialist (unless they're clever and rush inside of the bubble, but I digress).

I think this problem with Blitz would be ameliorated if for the duration of the ability, the blitzing player was immune to all shots coming in at a certain angle directly in front of him. For example, if it were 90 degrees (on his left and right), only shots coming from behind him would actually damage him. Or if it were 45 degrees, enemies directly on his left or right would still be able to shoot him, but his front (the people he would be blitzing) would still be unable to hit him. Also notice that at 45 degrees, snipers far above could still hit him (for example, if he were sprinting about underneath them, they could get an easy headshot on him like now, which is fine).

    Any thoughts on all that?

I agree that Blitz is very inconsistent when it comes to taking frontal fire. Yes you can get headshot, and yes you can get shot under the shield... I've had some instances where people seem to have shot directly through my shield.
