Nope. First, read the RS manual. Next, if what you say were true, there would be no difference in output between headphones, an A/V processor set to analog stereo, and an A/V processor set to a surround setting. There is massive difference, and only by running clean analog audio post-console can one eliminate the audio lag. Finally, there is nothing the software can correct for while still playing live music, because the delay is the delay between striking the string on the guitar and hearing the sound via the speakers--unless they somehow incorporate a time machine that can check the near future to see what you're going to do with your instrument, then pre-emptively output the sound before you pick the string, there's nothing to correct.

If you want to learn more about the subject, search the forums; there are several in-depth threads, with wiring diagrams and everything.

Connecting my console directly to some stereo speakers made a noticeable difference in the amount of audio lag. Some people would rather assume they know more than people that have tried it themselves.

Exactly. I play with headphones, and there is no delay whatsoever in the audio, whereas it's unplayable if I run the audio through my A/V receiver.

    10/16/2012 - unoffically....

From Paul Cross's Twitter - Notice something about this version of ‪#rocksmithgame‬? We'll be showing it at the booth!

I just checked the major online retailers and they all have 10/16/2012 listed, which is the first time i recall they had the same date (since the initial December date).

I checked Amazon, Gamestop, newegg, overstock, buy and Walmart. Bestbuy site went all Apple and was "updating our inventory".

Let the rampant speculation and hype build for the next 133 days. not that i am counting or anything.

I wonder if this will be available through steam. Would be nice for me since I don't really need another cord.

On a side note I probably won't be buying a whole lot of DLC anymore (unless it's something I really want to play right away). I hate to have buy it twice so I'll be waiting to get what I want for the PC.

I think that's a VERY important question. Even if it's not distributed digitally (for the obvious need of a cord), DO NOT integrate this game with Games for Windows Live! If you do so, this would be pretty much dead on arrival.

For sure, Ultimate Guitar is cool. There are a few others. A great site is Andrew Wasson at creativeguitarstudio.com i think. google andrew wasson and its the best. Also a guy named Rex Pearson is insane and great for learning. Rocksmith im using on xbox and it is great but waiting as well for PC. Im going to look at TuxGuitar now and Justins Guitar. Thanks for the tip. Oh Also Rock Prodigy is kind of like Rocksmith. It is really good. tab scrolls and other stuff. thanks again man.
