we three kings solo. (soloing in general with rocksmith)

I think this is a very easy song for me except for the solo.. Im having a hard time mastering past 60 percent or so of it for whatever reason.. Im thinking of putting it into the accelerator and changing the mastery to 100 percent cause every-time a new note comes out I find the new note like a slide from one fret to the other to be much easier then the last but when it get up higher then there is a crazy amount of notes coming down fast. I can do some pretty fast solos in other songs and get a lot more completed but in the case like this song where it starts using the bass strings (blue in this one) I start to lose it.. At any rate I think the dynamic difficulty can be good for songs but when it comes to there solos

I think it may be more favorable to my learning them to put it into accelerator and pump up the mastery to 100 considering solos have so many more levels then the rest of the song in general that you could play it 20 times and still not level up the solo much... and then when Im done there and able to play most of it at 100 speed then go to leveler to level it up quicker.... Im just wondering if anyone (who didn't already know how to play it) was able to master or come close to mastering the solo for we three kings or any other hardish solo. If so do you have any tips or suggestions. Is it a better approach? Seems to me solos tend to need special attention all on there own lol.

I'm close to mastering this solo (I can play it up to ~95% speed). Definitely go into accelerator and bring up the mastery, this is a far faster method and will be beneficial to your playing. You are correct in that solos require more work to learn, they're like their own mini song. Good luck

You can set one before 100% in accelerator, and then again in leveler. I miss notes on purpose in accelerator to start very slow, And also miss on purpose during practice if I fell I'm gonna nail it but did not master at that speed. If you are close to 100% speed on accelerator you can nail it in leveler, and get it to the last level, 100%. You don`t need to max the leveler, i.e. nail it in 100%, to get it maxed out when you play the song. You just need to get to 100% in leveler by playing, not by setting it manually.

I've blogged about this extensively. Not this song specifically - although it's on my list - but solos in general and various approaches to learning them. You can check out my approaches and results at http://myrocksmithjourney.blogspot.c...-wall-and.html and a few other posts.

I have found running through Free Speed and Accelerator after "cheating" up the mastery to 100% is very helpful. It's often a lot easier for me to have all the notes than to try to leave notes out that I'm "hearing" in my head but haven't actually worked up to.
