Should there be an alternate way to unlock Bonus Songs?

I was thinking rocksmith should have a different way of unlocking all bonus songs. I don't know how they should, but it is super annoying I don't have one. Let me explain, I first started playing the guitar when the game came out and I was terrible to say the least. I never qualified for a double encore, not a big deal necessarily. What bothers me is I have been playing a lot for 5 and 1/2 months I have 54 different songs over 100,000 out of 64 songs, and 95 total parts over 100,000 score. Around like 50 mastered versions of songs, but I have no bonus songs because I was so terrible when i started. I was thinking maybe rocksmith should allow all bonus songs to be unlocked if you get every songs over 70,000.

What do you guys think would be appropriate? Maybe charge for them for a lower price, say all bonus songs for like 360 microsoft points? I don't know, would like to hear your thoughts of a alternate method than it is now, because I think we can all agree it sucks that way it is now. I feel like I am really good at playing the guitar now better than my roommates who have played for 2 years and the other for 6 years and I really don't want to reset my stats all over. My roommates don't play the game btw.

Does anybody know if you save your rocksmith progress on a usb and then reset all stats to unlock bonus songs starting fresh again if you could then reload from a usb port your old stats and scores?

Yeah, I'm surprised they locked bonus songs under a double encore.

There is some dissagreement on the best way to get these double encores, but this is is a riff off of what RS-Matt suggested a while back:
    1) Save your profile in case anything gets messed up
    2) Know how many songs were originally in the set (since removing songs does not reduce the total qualifying score to get the encore)
    3) Go into settings and set your difficulties to lowest (ensuring you get no master mode encores in the set)
    4) Replace songs that were in the setlist with new songs (do not remove songs from the setlist, just replace - you should see they have a lower qualifying score than previously)
    5) Level up these songs a bit to make sure you can get way more than 120% of the qualifying score for the songs
    6) Play the songs... Hopefully you get an encore, if not cancel out and level the songs more
    7) If you get the encore you need to hit 90% of the notes in that encore... If you don't hit 90% of the notes and the scores start tallying instead of a double appearing just cancel out of the setlist ahead of the scores finishing the tally and you will get the same encore the next time... At this point practice the encore so you ensure you get more than 90% of the notes hit next time around, start the setlist over and hope for the best. Note there is supposedly only a 50% change you get the double even if you do get 90% notes hit, so even if you nail the encore you might need to cancel out and do the setlist again.

That said, there have been reports of folks not being able to do this after they have gotten above a certain level for some reason... So this might not work, but I'd give it a shot and see

Here's how I did it (taken from Seattle with some modifications):

    1) create a different account
    2) Go into settings and set your difficulties to lowest (Ensures lower qualifiying scores needed)
    3) Level up these songs a bit to make sure you can get way more than 120% of the qualifying score for the songs. (This will take some time)
    4) Play the songs... Hopefully you get an encore, if not cancel out and practice
    5) If you get the encore you need to hit 90% of the notes in that encore...
    6) Repeat with 2) (Important)

I always got the double encore.

If you collected Six AM Salvation and Boss you may stop, because the other songs aren't really worth it.
    Not any longer on PSN.

The Disonaur one is my favourite, I'm glad I got it.

Six AM Salvation isn't really worth it to me. I like all the other bonus songs. I don't think it's that bad that it's difficult to unlock songs. I mean, it gives you something to work towards even months into the game aside from just getting better all around. It's pushed me to get better at playing from memory and I can see a big improvement on it. I just need the SSB now.

I don't have very strong opinions but I think that content that you've paid for should easily be available - we don't all have limitless hours to spend acquiring in-game trinkets and songs are key elements. There's too much grinding required to get these songs and not much real skill.
That said, effort should be rewarded - like a Level 12 for all on-disk tracks @70K, Level 14 for all at 100K , 16 for all mastered at 200K etc etc. Then it has a little more significance

Locked content in video games is standard across the industry, so it's not like they've done anything unfair, or even unusual. This is just one of the game elements of RS, and it's easy enough to get around.

If I unlock a song in one profile, is it available to all profiles on my xbox, or only the one that unlocked it?

I almost always get an encore. But my encore is always a song I have never played and never get 90%. I have not tried the trick of cancelling the event when the encore comes up to practice it. Unfortunately, my next event is a 32-minute 8-song event.

If I make it a master-mode event, and I get an encore, will it only give me tracks that I have mastered, or will I get a random one?

Indeed but we need not be slaves to tradition.

Don't say things like that outloud. If word gets out micro-transactions may be implemented...
