    Slightly modified scoreboard

Already posted it on the UK board but because most of you guys don't visit that board I wanted to put it here too.

I'd love to see something like this:

First it needs to display the player's level. The loading screen just pops up half a second for me, so I can't see anything on it Just put the levels to the ingame scoreboard. In addition to that it would be nice when there's a summery of the total kills and death, captures and points and how long a player attended a round.
I don't know if it should buffer the values from all disconnected players though. I leave that for the devs to figure out

    What do you think?

No need to show the Level or the Time played.
Level will only encourage people to call others Newbs and what not according to their level.
You're trying to make the scoreboard entirely about bragging.

I'll pass, its perfect the way it is.

I think that it's important to know your opponent's level. You can adjust your loadout and playstyle right before the round starts so there's no need to die several times before you recognize what the best strategy is. I know, the level is just an indicator and you may be wrong anyhow.

When I started playing the game I had to die 10 times before I realized that I was put up against 7 level 20+ players. If I had known this from the beginning I had disconnected right away.

Regarding the time played: ”WTF? 500 points? What did you do the last 30 minutes? ***king camping sniper!” - ”Calm down man! I just connected 3 minutes ago!” - ”Oh, ok. Nevermind then ” ...

I really don't know why time played and level is all about bragging. And for the total scores, it's an indicator how well the teams played. It says nothing about one person alone.

What about changing the personal score column to just a team score value and the K/D column to a K/D-value column (so it just shows 2,5 instead of 30/12) so there's no way you can brag at all!

And that right there is part of the problem. You would have disconnected and left your team short handed instead of staying in game and playing, and maybe even learning something along the way.

Right...I think I prefer the way the scoreboard is over your suggested one. Most people already whine about higher level players or what not even though 90% of the community will agree that the most powerful weapons in the game seem to be the lvl 5 guns. Also most people dont care how long someone was in game. If their score is low they will be blamed.

In your opinion it's better that a new player get's raped from the start, destroying hist ”funlevel” instead of getting him a chance to get into a suitable team? Now that's a clever marketing strategy!

So, because some people are stupid and others brag about their scores better leave everything unchanged because some freaks could get upset?

    Yeah. Right.

So then you just want to bounce around from match to match until you find one that suits you and that you think your team can win?

I think that you will find this being less of an issue once the game goes into open beta and there is a much larger player pool for the match making system to pull from. Also everyone will have to start over from level 1. What you have to remember is that this is a beta, and you have to look at it as such. Play games, even if you're out leveled, who cares, get some insight on how the higher level guys do things. Because in the end, all the data is going to be wiped and everyone will be back at level 1.

I'd like to have the option to see more detailed statistics on individual players in the game, but not against my opponents. Purely for the reason that some people can't grasp the fact that level is not indicative of skill. If you could see level in game people would be complaining about being killed by high level players and calling them noobs for fighting "lowbies" instead of other high levels.

This also encourages players to just join/quit matches until they find one with "balanced" teams according to their own internal matchmaking system, which just won't work at all.

Showing the time played in the round/match would be fine though.

Ya, I guess you're right. I just find it more challenging/fun when the teams are on par. But heck, the harder the opposite team the better the learning effect
