It increases quite a bit. I've had a 21 single tick from continued focus from just Mk 1 <_<

Edit, just fried an assault to death. He didn't move, and it went up to a 63 tick that killed him.

Edit 2, I've been telling a lot of people how it works, and people have been getting the hang of it. It needs an instruction manual to be effective, otherwise people are confused. It can also be used from behind cover as long as you are crouched or behind the wall, as the thing sticks up over cover or around the corner depending on your position, but you cannot use snap-to-cover while attempting to fire it. It won't let you snap.
