I've never really noted the M500 as OP, but the M500SV (which I have used) does have the highest accuracy (58 if I remember correctly), giving it a better consistency, at the cost of rate of fire. In that sense, it's a bit of a min-maxer, and perhaps more suited as an option to unlock later. As for the Pentagun: it's got a pretty high DPS. For each 202 damage shot from my PM5, it can do two 170 damage shots, for a nice 340 damage. Granted, it is a semi-auto, but perhaps it's not such a good idea to let the new players get their hands on semis so quickly.

I got a idea for a solution and it will give perfect game balance. OK ya ready here it goes. Lets get rid off every gun and nade in game. Any give everyone super armor. and for your all mighty weapon. It would be a straw and your ammo a napkin. Acc high,reload time depends on you and how fast you can chew and make your spitball. DMG nil we all got super armor. Class abilities stay But heat instead will make you thirsty and increase reload time. Emp like a tazzer make ya twitch and miss. the bubble sheild keeps you from getting hit but spitballs stick to it obscuring view. LOL!

I think the reason a lot of people are crying OP is because low level shotguns aka the m500 and pentagun are extremely EXTREMELY powerful. Those i've seen level 20 people use the level 1-5 shotguns over the NS2000 and tear people apart.

What im getting at is, i've played with and against higher level shotguns and they seem fine. But so some reason the level 1-5 shotguns shoot extremely long range, and do way too much damage at long range. I can be 20-25 meters away from someone with a pentagun, having a cover fight against them, and ill end up losing because the high handling and ability to do 60 dmg to me a shot from that range.

Since most people in the game are low level and most people in the game have only seen the level 1-5 shotguns its safe to say people are using OP shotguns because being one of the top players on the leaderboards i honestly think these low level shotguns are extremely powerful for being low level.

I like the fact that shotguns are actually a viable gun type to use because in many many other games they're sidearms or just plain suck. So im glad that they're good in this game. Again i say, high level shotguns seem perfectly fine. level 1-5 shotguns seem broken.

I agree on this. There are a few folks I won't name (to prevent shaming them) that are high on the Specialist Shotgun kills list, because they abuse the pentagun. There are also a number of us up there that don't use the ezmode spamcannon, and actually earned our spots. I used the penta from level 5-level 7, and dropped it because it felt OP. I have never had anyone above level 1 tell me that my ns2000 is OP, and that makes me feel like its balanced correctly. I really think that we're all on the same page, and this is good.

The long barrel M1014 I use is nowhere near as effective as the Pentagun, even though it has a longer barrel and the same fire rate, and it's level 15. Clearly the Pentagun needs to be dropped or have its damage decreased significantly. I bought the long barrel M1014 for a reason: to have higher accuracy and a smaller spread. However the spread is simply absurd, as it is way too wide at range to be effective. Having a spread that wide is not effective in a combat situation. Sure, for hunting birds it's ok, but not when you need to land a tight grouping on someone to bring them down. I would love to see slugs added to the game, as it makes shotguns a viable option for medium range combat while sacrificing close range effectiveness as it would require more precise aiming up close.

Yes please. Use as an ammo attachment, but unlimited. Sorta like how you equip magnum ammo, but you still have to buy the "attachment", but only once.

LOL! ok then the EMP will make waffles and bacon appear freshly cooked distracting opposing players for a clean shot
