It is not so much that laggers take advantage or create headaches, it is that all lagging ruines the playability of the game. I have yet to play one simgle game where significant lagging was not taking place. All gameplay is affected, not just when hunting/hunted. Run and jump - you THINK you made it over the barrier - BUT suddenly you find you somehow jumped way too soon and hit the barrier, instead, sending you reeling off in a new direction, or simply coming to a halt out in the open. I could list the many frustrating fails lag caused, but don't want to get into a long winded list no one is going to read.

It seems like there are many reasons for lagging - other players at greater distance, players on old DSL connections (are there still people trying to game on dialup?), people on cable connections (seems likely that they are in a busy neighbrohood and connection sharing is beating up their bandwidth). There could (and with so many reasons how could you tell) even be server load.
