The only smart decision Ubisoft can make about this, is to at least.......make vehicles available in editor mode, without any other limitations, not even Map size....if They let us make the kind of multiplayer games we wants...well.....all will be satisfied then....!

    Freedom is success....

Black Ops 2 Might actually have them! That's total B.S. And no, restrictions aren't generally good. The more restrictions you give people the more unhappy they are that they're stuck in such a small metal cage, and the more glitches you have to overcome as people try to break these barriers! Freedom is good, no matter where you put it, and so are vehicles.
Vehicles don't neccasarily encourage teamplay it depends on the player.... Vehicles mean that you need to make the maps larger and if you can only have 8 players on a team and you need to make it big enough to accomodate vehicles then theres a good chance your idea of freedom would be just that and not much of a game anymore.

Sports and games all have rules restrictions and objectives.... It's all about finding the right balance to make a game good.

The only freedom should be what confines you are allowed to play within to prove oneself.... As soon as you adjust these restrictions i.e. being able to jump 30 feet in the air or Walk/ see through walls the original game is broken by either Mod or cheat.

So when I say restrictions I mean tayloring the game to make it more competitive and better experience for the player I can see why they have excluded it from the main multi-player it makes complete sense. If they could have 32 players on a team then I would not understand why vehicles were not present.in multi-player.

Personally I prefer smaller maps and more intimate gunplay than vast sprawling maps you get lost in but thats just my opinion and what I prefer.

Freedom to do whatever you want in a game is complete failure because then it has no rules, restrictions or objectives... Would you watch a televised sport where 2 teams could go against each other with no main objectives no rules and no restrictions? How boring....

It sounds like you want a version of garys mod on farcry 3... Yeah it's alot of fun but it's not a competitive game theres a big difference

You know where you are? ... Your in the jungle baby...... Your gonna die.....

    A good First-person Shooter should:

    - have precise, manual controls - e.g. no auto-aim
    - put balance, challenge and fun above realism
    - be full of fast-paced real-time action
    - let cunning, intelligence and skill decide who wins (PvP)
    - have simple mechanics: easy to learn but difficult to master

Guidlines in single player is a motivation to live a spectacular scenario and That's great....but What make FC3 an exeptional game....is the possibility to also explore the islands in a sandbox environment, Freedom.... Is What make this game legendary so.....it's the same for multiplayer....if Ubisoft want to structured guidlines for multiplayer it could be interesting...will see BUT.....IN THE EDITOR MODE...Freedom of creativity.....should be the rule...! We should be able to creat the Far Cry game we want....

Really, it all comes down to that.

Removal of vehicles almost removes creative freedom altogether. And considering the first two had them in the editor makes it a huge step backwards for FC3.

I can understand having a structured multiplayer setup for the matchmaking side of things, but for people who just want to have fun with player matches, it's completely unfair to them.

It's also very alarming that Ubisoft is not addressing this with us at all, and almost blatantly avoiding the issue

I agree with you legacyzero 100%, and the poll in this thread shows that at least 80 % of the fans thinks that way...maybe even more because maybe the 20% are Ubisoft employes' vote... If Ubisoft doesn't let the vehicles available in the editor, it mean They don't care about the fans...

Did I ever say every single boundary is bad? NO! Jumping boundaries, speed boundaries, what I MEANT was, the least amount of boundaries while still keeping a competitive game sane, the better. Because a rollercoaster isn't as good as a free experience.

One of the best parts of the original Far Cry games, in my opinion which I realize is a minority, was the vehicle/gun play. Being able to drive and shoot seems to be a niche skill though. The spatial awareness needed for the fights seems to be something that many don't have or don't develop which saddens me. Tracking your vehicle's body orientation and tracking your visual field of the gun point is similar to being a good tank driver in BF3 but even there it still appears to be a niche skill so idk. Plus they give you a nifty diagram on the bottom of the screen that makes it really simple to do in BF3.
Its the type of play I love but doesn't seem to ever flourish so I can't say it will surprise me if they get rid of it. By far one of my favorite experiences was Chaos on an ATV with my P90 and having two people team up in an Humvee and its turret for the sole purpose of finally stopping me. One of the best fights I ever had on a game and look at that, it even created teamwork in a game mode that was suppose to be solo play (couldn't help but poke fun there, haha). That happened on a map that was designed for vehicle combat whereas plenty of FCIP maps are designed for just normal gunplay. It should be the map creator's call for the gameplay their map is designed for and I fail to see a decent argument against that when vehicles are already present in the single player of Far Cry 3.

Look i voted for vehicles in multi player but i have to stick to my gyns and realise why it is not going to be in ranked matches i hope it is included for creative reasons but all i am saying is i realise why it is not in if a sercer can only handle 16 players
