Third Person should be Third Person.

I really hate playing a Third Person game and then having a dumb gimmick when I'm forced to look down, mind you, crappy sights.

There are enough FPS's out there that stick your eyeball in the rear sight, it's sickening. For christ sakes, I want a Modern Military shooter fighting humans in third person, not fighting the LOCUST, or ROBOTS, or etc etc.

Please just give us the option to zoom in and be accurate without the horrible ADS.

Also, There should be a zoom level for Scopes, one where we aren't looking through the scope but accurate still, and one where we zoom in for long range, When I turn a corner, I don't look down my sights for accuracy because of my FOV, realistically, I keep it to my shoulder and just aim in front of me where I want to corner check.

Game is great, pisses me off a lot because some ****, but it's Ghost Recon, It's free, I'll be putting some money in it when it releases, I love it.

Change these things ^^^ and I'll be hooked. If not, oh well.

I have to disagree, the ADS mechanic is pretty much required for any kind of modern shooter. It's also part of the gameplay mechanics, when you're zoomed in you have a significantly smaller field-of-view which makes you less situationally aware. This is fairly accurate to real-life.

I can't see effectively through my 9x hunting rifle scope when I'm casually holding it up to my shoulder and not looking down the scope.

Karimloo's suggestion is quite valid, and it's a sure bet there are a lot of TPS fans that will be annoyed by the discontinuity in perspective that Ubisoft could easily appeal to; and even monetize where they to offer a TPS Only server option as other savvy P4F\P4C Developer\Publishers have with similar features.

'Required' is a bit of a malapropism don't you think? You could say the same thing about FPP and GR:O doesn't meet that 'requirement' either...

Part of the 'game-play', obviously arguably so, but accurate to real-life; far from it. In the real world you have a vastly larger FOV (nearly double) aimed or unaimed what you have wht an FPP in a game, add to this you shoot with both eyes open and the a real world weapon obstructs less then 1/10 of 1% of FOV, compared to a game weapon that can obstruct as much as or more then 40% and 'accurate to real-life' just went out the window. Moreover, there's absolutely nothing remotely to-scale, 'accurate to real-life', or even remotely realistic about GR:O but some aspects of the paint job.

Again as Karimloo offered, he'd still want zoom for optics, and that reduces FOV at eactly the same ratio to magnification in games that it does in real life; so argument here again has no basis in realism.

The original Ghost Recon eschewed FPWV and ADS exactly because of all the issues these confer on other elements of realism in the game as far as how it's played, and this is one of the reasons for it's long standing success.

While I personally can live with the current system, you have to admit it's glaringly silly when pistols, which normally are held further from your face than the rear sight of a rifle are closer in GR:O... But the game is loaded with loopy, counter-intuitive, absurdities that have nothing to do with realism or even the genre -- so face it GR:O is a Casino, Fantasy, Arcade shooter that gives you 'Special Prizes Magical Weapon Rewards' because you're 'Special' for your mass-murder sprees, which is about as realistic as Teletubbies, and Space Pixies.
