My Opinion on Cloack and Smg users.

If recon is going to have any sort of Cloak Ability and have deadly mid ranged wepons, the Cloak needs to be tweaked to how little you move the more cloacked you are and when you move faster to jogging to sprinting your image will apear to flinker due to the cloack trying to catch up to the fast moving target. I feel that this will make recon players use clock ability more carefuly rather than sprinting everywhere being cloacked. people hardly even use the aplication of cloak while actualy sniping.

I honestly find it pretty easy/satisfying to face roll people who are cloaked trying to flank a side. If they were to make the maps less linear and crappy, I would say change cloaking. But while we have absolutely garbage linear maps that are stupid, cloaking is fine in my book.

oook, so i picked up the first submachine gun for the Recon class after saving up some points and man o man, I feel like i'm back playing socom but being invisible. I went 40-14 with a whole crew of ****ty players and managed to defend C in the attack and defend map basicly all by my self. the amount of stealth needs to be nerfed when sprinting or even full regular speed. Cloak should be total stealth when creep walking, and start to flicker as you go more into speed walking and then into sprint your flashing in and out of cloak faster. I feel like this is a big problem even as I tested the Sub machinegun and Cloak for the very first time. Cloak should only be used to sneaking past open area at the same speed as when popping the specialists sheild or poking out and lining up invisible shots.Period. The way they have it is way too arcady and COD friendly.

I agree with the OP...the cloaking ability needs a huge nerf. It's pretty overpowered tbh.

Cloak needs to be more visible. Cloak in this game I'm guessing is based off the real life cloaking tech that is being developed. So if that is the case then the recon suit is made up of thousands of little camera's that basically mirror what is behind them. ATM the distortion level is far to low on cloak, heck I can barely see my own body when I cloak as a recon. How will anyone else be able to see it? I think cloak needs to be less invisible, the point of the skill is not to be able to walk up to someone who is looking right at you and kill them, it should be used to "sneak around" the enemy front line and attack them from behind, or to move out of cover to be able to shoot a person without them realizing you moved out of cover. When a recon cloaks in front of my eyes and even if I know what direction he is moving in I still lose track of him...

I could understand if a recon was stationary, that they could be almost completely invisible, but once the recon starts walking around in cloak the distortion of the environment around him should be greater.

I don't see a problem with the current cloak. The only time anyone with cloak gets me, is if I'm having a 1vs1 long range sniping match and my oracle doesn't reach that far, and when the enemy goes to take a shot, he uses cloak. As long as you have a supporting recon, cloak is no trouble. They are trying to make this a team game (I assume this is like rock paper scissors where:
    Assault > Specialist
    Specialist > Recon
    Recon > Assault
Or something like that) If you have a cloaked recon, you need another recon to nullify the effect or a specialist's abilities to beat the recon's.
    Just my two cents.

Also, if you think there is a cloaked recon, look at the lights. Cloak distorts/bends light around it, I don't know how many recon's I've killed because they were standing infront of a light.
I am the Pillar Of Light in a Land Of Darkness.

    Bottom line, you die.

I don't have a problem killing cloaked recons either, most people don't seem to understand that just because they cloaked they can walk where ever they please, plus if they cloak near me then well IDK maybe the fact that I hear them cloaking is a BIG tip off to be scanning the area I am every hard for the recon.

While light does play a factor in see the cloak, I am talking about the recon mirroring his environment in the first place. I understand that this is a game but in order for something to cloak it must mirror its surroundings, I think the recon can do this mirroring a little to good atm. A bigger shimmer or distortion while walking fixes the problem IMO. At the end of the day though I have no problems with recon's cloaking atm.

I think Killzone did a really good job in the cloak mech, but less dramatic as seen in KZ when each step would uncloaked you, I would rather see it like a ghost is reapearing when moving at full walking speed and sprint transparent like style.
