I prefer around 60 but have seen mine lag down to 5

Personally, I also use another program that monitors my frame rates as well as allows me to chat with other gaming "friends", but I use that because I do other gaming. I'd really recommend Fraps if you're just looking for basic frame rates.

Welcome aborad quakezik. Another thing you can do, while in-game, is to press the F8 key (or Ctrl+F8, if the first one doesn't work). It'll display a real time counter that shows your current framerate.

Thanks for the info, depending on which screen is up, I vary from 99 to about 24 fps, seems to stay pretty smooth...
