Ghost Recon Online Devs pls take out the smgs from the recon class because it makes the recon class with cloak with Smg an OP class.I dont know what you guys were thinking about putting a smg on a recon with cloak that make them OP.

About shotguns take out some of the range.

One shot kills while shooting through a the glass wall of an escalator, I put 20 rounds of Magnum LMG rounds into the glass (I can see the glass taking the hits), damage to Recon? ZERO, so they can kill us but only another recon can kill them.

Now if there were enough flanking routes that may not be a problem, but maps are too direct and half the other team are snipers, generally there are 2 or 3 routes through every map all of which have good sniper nests covering them!

I could be a sniper recon, or a cloaking SMG recon, but I'm not, and for that I'm punished with a negative kill to death ratio and a bunch of cheep deaths every map.

I assume the dev's are looking at the total k/d ratio of the game, surely that must show the advantages they've given the Recon are two much. The devs can do nothing and the game will end up 90% recons 10% shotgun assault and we'll see how long the community survives and the cash roles in.

Note, as a specialist I'll use the Aegis when I can to advance the team trough a bottleneck but there's a very long cooldown and beyond that I'll die a lot attempting to push forward. I'll use Blitzing Assualts and other teammates for cover etc... but I'd still guess 60% of my deaths are to Recons.

PS: Nerf the range and/or increase the spread of Shotguns plxz!

All objects in this game are non-penetrable! I'm sure the guy shot you from somewhere else and when the kill-cam turned to him he was already behind cover. So it looked like he shot your from there.

No bug, nothing mysterious.

Recon OP..? Every class is OP if you knowhow. I play recon and assault and 9/10 rounds i get more than 20 kills and less than 10 deaths.. nothing else, carry on...

Nope, not the whole truth.
Some objects are penetrateable.

For excample the corrugated sheets of metal on Oilrig / Seahrwater is penetrable.
The glass on rofftop should not be penetrable as far as i know.

So far i also found not boxes/wooden panels to shoot through.

Atm I play assault with a Shotgun and Blitz. To be honest I have no issues with the Recon class no matter what style they play or what abilities they use. By no issues I don't mean that I can easily defeat them etc, I mean I think mostly they are as they should be. For the cloaking I have learnt to listen for footsteps and the tell tale cloaking sound. upon which i immediately keep a sharp lookout for the Predator visual effect and if i am really paranoid I fire my shot gun in the general direction i think I heard/saw cloaking :P

Only problem is that the sound of footsteps is as hard as bugged as the visibility of cloak itself.



What do you guys,espacially recon players, think about the following.

Would you use(or even start buying..) the passive team-device to detect sprinting enemys if the range would be higher than 10 meters?
I peronally find the range a little bit too short, espacially when i think of using it as a counter-recon measure.
15 Meters would be nice i think or a sound that the players devices gives away to all nearby teammates as soon as it detects an enemy.


What do you think of it?
Or what else would you like to be improved or add for anti-recon stuff?

Correct response to that device.
Only problem is that the sound of footsteps is as hard as bugged as the visibility of cloak itself.

I also always listen to the distinctive sound of a recon going into cloak. Also, I have both passive devices (vector and the one for detecting shooting). I do not use the detect shot often, but it helps to spot cloaked recons starting their killing streak (if they get the chance).

Personally, I don't think the range is that bad, but then again I usually find myself on the front of the front.
As for the sound, I think players should pay more attention. I'll open a new thread for this as I believe it's important.

I usually help my team by trying to be on the front (equipped with SMG and cloak) so my teammates are warned as soon as possible.
Or at the back of the front group (equipped with sniper rifle and oracle). Where I use the oracle on regular intervals and when I think a recon is cloaked and moving in.

But the fact that about 80% of players go for recon class is a sign of a slight inbalance. And day by day I can see that recon class only grows.
In fact why the hell do we need assault and specialist classes? Sniper rifle + oracle = long distance camping, smg + cloack = for assault and anything else.
I really hope that devs gonna bring some more balance soon.
