Since people are complaining so aggresively about Aegis I figured I would post how to combat it.

Counter Abilities to Aegis

#1 Aegis itself. (I will not even explain this as it should be self explanitory.)

#2 Heat (semi-self explanitory however I will go into detail anyway!) Utilizing Heat is the BEST way to effectively combat Aegis. When Aegis is used the enemies swarm into one general area making it the perfect oppurtunity to be patient, when the bubble nears you activate heat and your team is free to enter the Aegis bubble and destroy the enemy team. Need I say more?

#3 Blitz My personal favorite as I do not like using Heat. When the enemy activates their bubble my goal is not to wait until the flock of people enter the bubble as it is extremely hard to do anything of value against a high number of targets inside the Aegis when Blitz has been activated as your team is not nearly fast enough to make it inside the Aegis bubble to assist you. Having said that you need to utilize Blitz in a way that is slightly more difficult to time than Heat but can be just as effective. As I hear and or see the enemy readying up to use Aegis I IMMEDIATELY activate Blitz and ram the enemy. You may be a suicidal goat but your sole mission in this scenario is to takedown the opponent who is utilizing the Aegis instantly. It is perfectly okay in this situation to go 1 for 1 as you are taking away a skill that has a very long cooldown and deleting the possible protection it could serve as.

#4 Recon Stealth This is really a similar concept as Blitz but slightly more effective. You can use your stealth to flank around and take out the enemy who has activated Aegis fairly easy if timed well. Same concept that is behind Blitz. Take him down, it may be a 1 for 1, it may not!

#5 EMP Also a highly effective counter to Aegis. EMP blacks out all enemy electronics, AKA deactivates Aegis. Not only that but I believe you can not shoot for a period of time when EMP hits you.


Keep in mind this is a team game and you need to use your abilities with your team as the first in mind. Your goal should be to win the game, not to have the top score or run around on your own. Construct your soldier to be as effective of a teamate as you can!

Grenades

#1 Roll them underhand where the group inside the Aegis is headed. Nades still roll in. Overhand throws are more likely to bounce off.
*edit* To clarify this does not work as good with impact grenades for obvious reasons!

I hope this helps. Please do not increase the CD on Aegis it is not necessary and should not be changed just because people haven't learned how to manage it yet. I use assault and have never had an issue with the skill and this game is fairly well balanced!

Thanks....Very helpful thread actually. I have been Aefis countered by recon before and I was like WTF....he snuck right behind me. I have a decent assault guy so I think I may try and just knock him down and hope for the best...although blackout sounds the best for multiple targets.

You are right I am just a Blitz player personally as I tend to flank often and Heat clearly is useless when you are alone!

Blackout and Heat def. are the best to combat it! Good luck hope it works for you as well as it does for me.

Yep. Thanks for the obvious counters there, tear. But then again, in your words people that have difficulty countering it are trash. If a whole guide needs to be put together on countering something, when other abilities do not, then it might need some tweaking.

Yea your welcome, clearly if you know these simple techniques you don't need it do you? Every one still tears up about it and this is phase 2 there are many new players and many new players complaining about Aegis that does not warrant a change. Fail logic is fail.

Do you use brass knuckles? I can't seem to defeat them.
