I think adding a speaker icon to both the scoreboard and HUD (akin to Valve games) would be useful, even just next to the player icons on your screen.
Anyways, my first game of the night, I was with just one other person on VoIP, yet I called everything out like everyone had a working mic. Worked wondrously.

yep yep yep I have not had any prob's with the voice chat and usually am wishing that i was not the only one using it to try and get people to move up ,and plz help or use recon abilities right !
hate it when there is 5 recon on your team and there all using cloak OMG ! what a waste and then there not even moving there always back trying to get a head shot taken 2 min to get a kill ,oh sure your getting 20 kills in a 40min game wile us grunts assault keep trying to run in get the adjective and stay alive and try and keep our K/D rate up at the same time with out any recon telling us anything on the com... god plz buy a mic or open your mouth and say something i feel like i'm the only one in the game sometimes and i'm always telling everyone where the E is or where i just got killed ! to help the team , this is a team game not a solo mmorpg like wow lvling .
You guys know you get more RP for wins right? to win you need to use the com...do you think the USA or any Armed Forces go in a Firefight without intel from the feld telling where the E is ?

I hear you man. It's a problem a lot of us have (notably the same ones that are active in idea-making, glitch pointing out, and the forums). It is always best to find a group of people, of any skill level really, and make a Fireteam with them. It'll ramp up your game, as at least half of your team will be highly vocal. It's not a bad idea to have a recon or two in your FT, although quality ones are hard to come by and most are taken. Make sure, however, that they're helpful. Not just in damage potential, but tactically as well. I'm helpful to my teams by providing overwatch while sniping, and taking out choice targets while rocking a SMG, helping my team to move up, as I'm not the best at capping points or straight defending myself. After all these months, and this is actually still a big problem. I was the ONLY Specialist on a team full of RECON and all they did was get pushed back and back. When I tried to give or ack overwatch intel, they were all screaming about how talking was interrupting thier head shots. I was the ONLY one pushing the capture points in the whole team. Not one would take out a sidearm, not one gave ANY RECON intel.
It made the game quite unpleasant to have to deal with a bunch of primadonna RECONs who could not actually play.....
Yeah. I don't use a mic and don't spew intel because typing ingame usually gets me killed. That is why most of the time when I'm on Recon class I equip oracle. I see something happening that needs to be told I press f in hopes my teammates can catch the enemy behind them or if a sniper is mowing them down one by one.
