i can see how you people feel now that bethesda has completely ****ed over all the PS3 users. they actually delayed an already delayed DLC, I'm not buying it now.

Guys there reason for the differences has been covered - it may not be the answer you want - but its the only one we have to offer..

Games may contain different items, due to regions and markets - sometimes items are only available in certain regions due to this.

The last title, only received a 'Signature' edition - which did not go down well with fans, so they have attempted to create something better for you guys this time round..

I can see that certain people seem to have misread an off the cuff statement from Ubi Gabe - promising an 'Amazing' bundle - and they are using that against the game?

    The statement was as follows:

''Special/Collector's Edition is coming for North America. We can, however, offer no further details at this time since we're still in the process of finalizing.

In regards to why it is taking us so long to announce what we're going to be offering, there are a couple of factors, one of which is that we know that the setting of AC3 pretty much requires that we deliver a staggeringly amazing Special Edition for North America, so we have been working very hard on meeting that expectation... that said,
despite all of our extraordinarily strenuous efforts, it's extremely unlikely that anything resembling an actual Tomahawk will make it into the box. We tried our very best, but rules are rules, hehe.'

As you can read - They WERE trying to make a 'staggeringly amazing' one WITH a tomahawk - but they were not allowed too in the end, so that is why it took so long, so that reference to staggeringly amazing' - was related to them wanting a tomahawk.

There are some that are happy with the CE - and even people outside of the US who want it, over and above the UK version, so it's all about choice.

The choices are there to allow just that, choice.. If you don't want to buy the collectors edition - then there are others that may suit you.

If you want certain items from different regions editions - you may be able to import - remembering that games / DLC may be region locked.

I know some may feel frustrated or left out - however Ubisoft does not hate the North American customers - or the United Kingdom ones, it's just differences in the way the company works - EMEA choose the best for the UK and EU / UEA and North America choose whats best for NA markets.

Ubisoft are well aware that NA customers are not happy - as they haven't for the past few games, so rather than post assumptions that Ubisoft hates you or rants - lets post constructively and make your points valid.

I actually believe your opinion about the quote is wrong. It specifically says "required to deliver a staggeringly amazing edition" thats not saying we were going to do an amazing edition, but since we couldn't get the tomahawk we gave up on making it good. that only told us it was going to be amazing, yet they couldnt give us a tomahawk. and its pretty hard to believe ubi isnt biased based on the inferior editions, especially after the promise of the amazing edition. And if they have heard that were incredibly displeased then I would assume as a company that cares about its customers they would do something to make sure we are satisfied. Do us all a favor and please ask that an announcment be made as to whether or not the NA collectors edition will be altered or not. It feels like we are being ignored on this issue and I know many people would love to hear a statement on the subject. I don't mean any disrespect, but this is how I, and im sure others feel about this whole issue

And this is what a lot of us have been complaining about. I can totally understand marketing and how it works, but if customers have to buy 3 different versions of game pre-order to receive ALL GAME content (not even talking about collectibles, just the game itself), it's totally not right. Apart from a few hardcore fans no-one will buy three versions and what Ubi is going to get is unhappy and always-complaining customers who will continue to bad mouth the company and create their bad image.

I for one am OK with the NA collectibles, that's fine, sad that Europe gets a couple of collectible editions (again, instead of one) with so different items and we cannot gain these items unless give money on eBay to middlemen who earn their profit (instead of Ubi). But I really wish Ubisoft thought the whole idea of marketing their game differently. It would bring more peace to community, better image of Ubi.

Well its really Ubisoft's fault in the first for deciding to have region specific CEs, they could made it so every CEs is available to everyone then people would couldn't complain about how Ubi is biased toward a regions. Also they decided to greedy and split up the dlcs throughout 5 different stores here in NA, which I think is also one of the reason why they couldn't made the Freedom or JoD editions available here in NA because those contains some of the dlcs. Since they couldn't include the Freedom and JoD here in NA they decided to make a lesser edition to try to make up for their greediness.

If it's as you said that Ubisoft knows that we NA customers have not been happy with the CEs for past few games then why the heck haven't they done anything about it or even give us a reasonable explanation. Alot of us NA fans here really want to support the AC franchise but Ubisoft makes it really hard to do so. Ubi even release a freakin trailer showcasing how good the freedom edition is and even go to add another litograph, this is kinda of like rubbing on injuries. It's like they saying yeah We know that NA customers are unhappy with the LE so let us release a trailer of the Freedom Edition and add more item to it to make NA customers even more unhappy and jealous. Ubisoft is making a bad image for themselves here in NA and that's completely their fault.

Also if they are aware of our complaint why haven't they give us an answer on whether they will fix the LE or not, alot of us just want an answer.

I know you're trying to defend them Mr. Shade and I'm not saying that this situation is your fault cause it's absolutely not your fault but Ubisoft made the decision so they have to face up to it. Just like the Assassin's model "Everything is permitted".

See I'm already lost here though I understand what you are trying to say, taking your words at face value they seem to be incorrect. So the DLC offerings and George Washington's Journal which are the primary items most people seem to be taking issue with in roughly 150 of the 218 pages of ranting complaints are supposed to fall under this bit here right?

So due to region those items aren't available in NA? oh but wait they are, in the PC version...

Surely this is due to the retailer then right? It must be because of the fact that the game is sold through Best Buy, Gamestop and Amazon in NA, surely that must be why those items aren't available...

So wait, its not the market and its not the retailer so uhm...back to my original being lost, what was it exactly you were saying Mr Shade sir? Appreciate you trying to keep us on topic and informed but I'm not sure what point exactly you were trying to make.

I really hope someone at ubisoft takes the time to read the 200+ pages on here. What people on here mainly want is that you ADD George Washington's Journal. If UBI can add a lithograph to the freedom edition, why not add the Journal to our edition. That would fix the edition with me, and a good chunk of people that are complaining to you. Also about the DLC being placed to specific retailers. What about the PC Deluxe edition? I understand they get shafted a lot. But should it not be equal? They get all DLC REGARDLESS of where they buy it as long as they buy the deluxe. I and many others understand its business. But you guys have put yourselves in a very bad hole. And many customers are willing to close that hole up. I really hope you guys can ADD the Journal. Maybe this being a giant stretch, some extra dlc.

For the US Collector's edition , I'd be more willing to buy it if it came with some extra DLC (costumes, online charcater(s), the preorder missions form other retailers) or at least a bonus disc(s) of soundtrack and making of videos/commentaries.
That probably would've justified it for me

100% proof Ubisoft should be ashamed of themsevles. PC players pay $65 and get more game content than console users (the majority of their sales) who pay double the price. The Journal could be a digital download, costing them a grand total of NOTHING (other than some server space and bandwidth, which is made up by the $120 overpriced NA LE).

People who work for Ubisoft say we have a choice, the irony of it all is they too have a choice. The choice NOT to split up the DLC. However, they went the greedy route and made the choice to split it up and then charge us for it later. I'm sure it's their plan all along to sell the digital journal for $5 off XBLA and PSN. Shameful.

Yeah, choices. We all have choices, and Ubisoft keeps making the wrong ones.

honestly I understand where players are coming from, I too live in the US and I went and pre ordered the CE of AC3 when I realized what I was getting compared to the gamestop edition I canceled my pre order with the CE.

if your not happy with what they are giving you simply dont get it. if you think that ubisoft is turning a blind eye to its NA editions (which honestly it has over the years) dont buy the game at all, wait for it to go on sale down the line and pick it up, buy it used from gamestop so the money is going to them instead of ubi.

lets face it things like this will continue to go on as long as we as consumers allow it to go on. if we still buy the sub par editions were given then thats what they will give us.

you have a voice, use it and its not here on the forums complaining its your paychecks that speak out in volumes with companies now adays.

honestly ubisoft im tired of hearing how the signature editions and cruddy editions here in NA are so poorly recieved and this is your reason to try to do less for all of your NA fanbase because if anything you should look at it as: how have we failed our NA fans, the ones that still stick with us even after we as a company have dissapointed. you would think you would go and do something that knocks it out of the park to push those players who have given up on your name after youve gone so far to dissapoint them and make them feel inferior in comparison to the fanbase around the rest of the world.

this i think is the problem most people on the forums have with ubisoft of lately its not that were gimmie gimmie people its that we feel we are justified something that holds a candle to what the rest of the world is getting. after all were your fans too
