I'm hoping that they announce something on E3, or like others have mentioned on the 4th of July. If no CE has been mentioned on any of those two dates, then it's pretty much confirmed that we're getting a regular edition or a signature edition. Poor Ubisoft. They pour all this work into crafting a quality game, and some people think that just by not including some trinkets with the game that the entire company has conspired against them.
Regardless, Ubisoft is, in one way or another, working on some form of Collector's Edition for NA, if their statements on UbiWorkshop are anything to go by. There was mention of an official announcement, with that wonderfully vague term of "soon", with first announcements being made by their newsletter. They used this as a teaser image, which looks pretty cool to me. Hopefully that "soon" is actually soon, within the next week or two.
Just to clarify, I'm not one of those persons who thinks their conspiring against us, but from our previous experiences it's only fair that we're a bit skeptical on what we might get.

Yeah, I get the being skeptical, but I figure hey, even if we don't get much, it'll still be a fantastic game, which is the entire point.
Anyhow, yeah, I think they'll offer us some good stuff, although I don't know about any particular E3 deadline; it might be independent of that..
There is no doubt about it that this will be a fantastic game, if anything it might even better than AC2.

It's not that we think that there is some kind of conspiracy going on at Ubisoft, it's just with the poor AC: Brotherhood CE and the AC: Revelations Signature Edition, we're just a bit leary of them not giving N.A. an decent CE for AC III. As an videogame collector, yes I would love to get the Connor statue and George Washington's journal in our CE.
I get that much, it's just that some people seem to think that boycotting the game itself is the answer to not getting the assorted other goodies, which misses the point entirely; the game is the primary experience, everything else should be supplementary.
I seen that. one is 99 dollars the other is 149/ I know a couple of people who have pre-ordered the $149.00 CE. As to the notion it's the game that counts? It's the principle of it to me. I understand there are people who do not care about the business practices of the companies they buy from as long as the product is good.... Personally I do. I do not like discrimination. and by definition it is discrimination. As I said I will buy AC III regardless of whether or not there is a CE. and whether or not I feel the CE is a quality one. But whether or not I purchase a future anything from Ubisoft? It depends on whether or not they offer a quality Ce to NA. There are so many other good games out there developed by people who value all their fans equally that dropping this corporation and title is no big deal to me. like I said many times. back in the day it could have been argued and probably was that African Americans should just be happy about being able to ride the bus. being forced to sit at the back was no big deal because being able to ride the bus is what matters. or having to sit outside of the diner to eat is no big deal because it's the meal that matters. I will not tell anyone what they should do. But I will tell people what I intend to do, and if they relate to it great. But I am linked to several large facebook AC North American fan groups. and this is pretty much the sentiment.

i don't care for anything which comes with a CE except for actual gameplay, missions, outfits, upgrades, fine. but i'm only buying the special edition because i'm not spending that much on an edition which i only want for 2 extra missions

Why do you care if other fans feel strongly enough to boycott the game? why does it matter to you? as long as you get to play the game everything else should be a secondary or of no concern to you. as to the notion that people are boycotting the game with the belief that it will somehow strong arm Ubisoft into offering a CE equal to Europe? I do not believe that it will..Most of the people who have stated they will boycott are not so naive as to believe a corporation cares what the minority thinks. they only concern themselves with their bottom line. because this is a business and it's about making money. I am a consumer I only control how and where I choose to spend my money. and as for the product. Revelations was not up to par with Brotherhood or ACII... and was certainly not the same level of experience that Arkham City or Skyrim was. I am hoping ACIII will be better
